• Q: If i am correct this is the competition plus model, what differences are there besides being two-tone that make it a couple hundred dollars more than the standard colt competition?

  the two tone finish is the only real difference buy the competition and a case of ammo !

• Q: The description says the front strap has checkering, but the picture does not show it. Does this model actually have it?

• Q: What makes this model O1070CCPTT "compact" per Bud's description? Per the specs in Colt's webpage ... https://www.colt.com/detail-page/colt-competition-plus-80 ... this model has a 5.0" barrel length. Doesn't the term "compact" in a 1911 generally mean that the barrel length is less than 5.0"? ... or does "compact" also refer to a difference in the frame size? Thanks!

  Thomas, Buds has this listed as Compact in error Sir. It is a full size 1911 in Frame Size and Barrel Length, through and through. Looks like a someone read COMP (Competition) and automatically entered Compact when typing the listing. Cheers and you and yours stay safe Sir!
