Very nice entry level AR ... love that Ruger released it in the 300BLK caliber and the free floating handguard. Great rifle for the price. A rifle like this cries out for customization ... and I have upgraded many of the parts already ... MagPul buttstock, CAA pistol grip, 15" handguard, MagPul 300blk 20-round magazines. My one (small) complaint is that Ruger ships the rifle without even basic sights. My one (BIG) complaint is that Ruger chose to hinder the option of replacing/upgrading the muzzle device. Why did they do that? Makes no sense to glue/weld the flash hider device to the muzzle. A barrel could possibly be ruined trying to make a simple upgrade. I cannot recommend this rifle for the one case ... go with a Diamondback instead.

Great gun, shoots fantastic right out of the box. Only knock is the stock mag is cheap. Picked up a magpul pmag and it functions like a charm.

It's beautiful. I don't have the time for a build, so I just shelled out to buy another Ruger you could say im a fanboy, everything I own is ruger with the exception of my Glock.
Its well built, little to no wiggle between the upper and lower. I'll update again when I take it out for a spin.

So, I was NOT disappointed with this firearm! It has typical Ruger quality and over all great cosmetics. The trigger is good for a stock, but planning on a swap by far. I enjoyed firing this gun. It doesn't kick bad at all and if you have never fired a 300 blackout, I fell in love with subsonic ammo. The one thing I did not like was the magazine that was included. Very cheap, but a simple fix with magpul. Also changed out the charging handle with the extended Raptor as my scope kept made charging harder. I honestly cant say enough about this gun. The important parts are it shoots great, has amazing quality and look, wide selection of options. Love this gun!
