Can anyone that has purchased one in the last year or so confirm that this model does or does not come with the bayonet lug? It shows it in the picture here and on Mossbergs website. But when I called mossberg the guy didn't know what a bayonet is. Other websites show this model number without a lug and some of the older Q&A here says no. But since the 9 shot retro model has the lug I'm holding out hope that it's a possibility.

It is interchangeable and come with both so you can run it either way.

Yes, this comes with both. The stock comes installed but can be removed and you can add the pistol grip. So you can choose to have the stock on or the pistol grip but not both at the same time. Hope this helps.

yes it is removable however unless you are taking it off for good I would suggest that you just get another barrel for the 590
