Smith & Wesson LE Model 629 Deluxe 3" 44mag Revolver - Stainless/Silver, 3" Barrel, 6 Rounds, Wood Grips, 3-Dot Sights

Purchased LE 629-3" barrel. Overall I'm satisfied with the firearm. Revolver shoots well, was not hard to site in. I found Hogue grips a needed upgrade as the stock grip tended to bite the web of my strong hand. Revolver balances nicely and recoil is completely manageable, but stout! I feel the fit and finish of the new guns is not as good as the older ones, but this revolver is no slouch. Could be my older revolvers are smoothed out from lots of use. I'm well satisfied with this revolver.

I've owned and loved S & W revolvers for more than 50 years. This revolver is a well made attractive Smith and Wesson product, EXCEPT for the poorly engineered and fitted grips! Contacting their customer service was a waste of time. I sanded down and refitted the grips, but ultimately replaced with Pachmeyrs. If you want a great shooting, good looking revolver, this is hard to beat, BUT plan on replacing the factory grips! As always, Buds is a first class operation!

The pistol itself is nice. The grips.... C'mon S&W.... they suck! Pretty to look at, but they are slick with very little traction to keep a 44mag in place. The top of the grip digs into your thumb and is painful. I replaced them with Hogues......
