Quality firearm. I was very pleased with the postal. I looked at several much more exspensive hand guns before picking the Springfield. Very Happy with it.

This is a good, solid accurate 1911. For the first 100 rounds at the range it has happily digested every kind of round fed from the supplied magazines, Chip McCormick, Wilson Combat and Colt magazines. No failures at all. Ammunition was primarily Winchester white box range ammo and a variety of reloads. Slide to frame fit was excellent with no rattle or shake and barrel lockup was solid. I installed a Crimson Trace grip red dot sight on this gun and had to grind down the ambi safety lever on the right side of the gun to clear the laser housing. Finish on the gun is good though the edges and corners were sharp and not melded. This is not a problem but if you are expecting a finish like that on guns costing twice as much you will not find it here. The trigger is positive and breaks at about 6 pounds. It is a solid range trigger and works smoothly though not competition crisp. All in all an excellent 1911 and a great buy at Buds pricing.
