Nice rifle accurate and functions well

This was my first deal with Buds. Couldn't be easier. Nobody had this rifle but buds did. This 30-30 is a real attention getter at the range and it's a good shooter also. A great deer rifle at an affordable price.

Recieved this 30-30 and took it out to test fire. It would only fire half of the rounds. I contacted Buds they were helpful. Returned gun to manufacturer to have it repaired. Firearm was returned a couple weeks later and it works fine. Buds and Mossberg were both easy to deal with. Im only giving 4 stars due to the failure, would be less if i didnt recieve such great customer service. Thanks Buds for another smooth transaction. Satisfied Customer!!!

Looks good. Cycles decent. It is what it is. A cheaper lever action that is "tactical". It works.

The MOSSBERG 464 SPX 30-30 Tactical is a MUST HAVE if you say F@%! the Mainstream like me! It's a Love it or hate it firearm for sure. There is no Gray area, It is definately awkward and clumsy to handle so there is no personality clash with me. Trust me I am not complaining or being negative, just being honest. I accesorized it a little with stuff I had and that does exacerbate it's clumsiness. I believe tactical gloves are a necessaty for handling this bizare beast as the accessory rails make it a little challenging to handle . Enough said... :)

The Mossberg 464 SPX is a great gun, and I plan to take it out for whitetail in KS this year.

I've owned my Mossberg 464 SPX for almost 4 days and my feelings about the gun haven't changed. I fell in love with it when I first saw it and nothing has happened to change that. First off in its favor is the fact that it's a .30-30 lever gun, the standard by which all others are measured. It's small and light, the 16.25 inch barrel and the collapsed stock giving it a total length of 32 inches. It would be a perfect truck or working gun. Being so small and light I was expecting recoil to be a problem but it isn't, it's easily managed. After shooting the first box through it, I wasn't even noticing the recoil. My only regret is that it didn't come with a picatinny rail installed above the receiver, but that is a minor complaint since the standard Weaver 403 base will fit, 2 of them actually, one 403 at the front of the receiver and the other at the rear. I would prefer a continuous rail (which could be done) but I haven't found one yet. Overall, I'm very pleased with the gun and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
