Great gun not so good laser. Ended up having to remove it because the sight adjustment Screws got stuck inside sight and would not come out. Otherwise the best .380 I have shot

This Springfield 911 380acp is a near masterpiece of engineering and design - so why did I only give it 4 stars? One reason is the shape of the hammer. It's bad. The thumb cannot easily engage and cock the hammer - it takes an unnecessarily concentrated effort to prevent the hammer from slipping away from the thumb and snapping back into the firing position. A more ergonomic shape (like the Sig 380's) would easily correct this problem. So (Springfield) - FIX IT! Also, this stealth black color really doesn't work for me on this little 380 gem. I'm liking black on my many of my full sized guns, but I made a mistake getting this gun in black. It's like painting a jeweled Faberge' Egg some boring monotone color. Almost all the other Springfield 911 color combos are so much more awesome than this flat black. Also, love the grip's green laser - but - it's a little difficult sometimes to keep your trigger finger out of the beam. Add to all of this that I've come to the conclusion that a mini 1911 style single-action pistol is really a bad/unsafe idea for an EDC for 95% of the population and my suggestion is look elsewhere if you are seeking the simplest and most efficient protection. (It's great, however, for a mini 380 collection that stays at home or on the range. Just don't get this all-black model.)
