This is a perfect small handgun. The right size, it fits in myhand and grabs it. Just enough rounds, no need for more. Sights are excellent, you can't miss what you are aiming at. It is the baby bear of handguns. Not to much, not too little....just right!.

The Sig Sauer P238 Legion is just the right configuration for me. I can't believe how much I enjoy this pistol. The handle is super-comfortable for single or two hand shooting.The night sites are so easy to pick up in lowlight and the glowing green daytime circle on the front site is ligit. I can pick it up in any lighting condition fast. The 1911 style trigger is crisp, with almost no take-up, giving me a clean break every time! I'm a left-hander and appreciate the ambi-safety. Without it, I couldn't carry this cocked and locked. With it, the safety is engaged, and I'm ready to go every time. The G10 grips are thin, comfortable and I love the Legion medallion. The extended magwell, gives me just what I need to shoot it exceptionally well. It's also been so comfortable to wear I've found myself conceal carrying it almost every day leaving the G26 in the safe. I live in TX so hot summer days lend themselves more to a single-stack thin 380 for CCW. This along with Sig giving you 3 magazines up front is perfect for my conceal-carry setup. I love it so much, I'm looking at the same configuration in 9MM. Thank you Sig for producing such great firearms. Thanks Buds' for making the purchase process so easy.

Top of the line weapon!!!
I was amazed by the grippiness of the g10 grips. The finish looks more army green than legion gray depending on the light. Shoots well but still needs to be broken in to reach its full potential. I really like this Legion series and can see myself by another Legion series pistol(P229 SAO). Buds shipped this lightning fast and I sprung for their lifetime warranty. I will definitely be buying my next gun from here.

Very accurate for such a small pistol. A first I was a little all over the target. But, after about 80 rounds I found my grip and finger placement on the small pistols trigger and started shooting some really tight groupings. I am used to shooting 1911 styled pistols with my thumb laying on top of the safety, but this pistol didn’t like that. I had approximately 20 failures of the slide not locking back after the last round because of my thumb placement on the safe. Once I kept my thumb away from the slide the pistol functioned perfectly. I shot 200 rounds this day. The pistol arrived at my dealer in perfect condition and I’m very happy with my purchase. Thank you Buds Gun Shop.

Buds had a great price and Sig was running a Legion promo so I finally bit. This little Legion is a super value for what you get - 3 mags, magwell, very good night sights and reliability. It hasn’t had enough ran thru it to put in the rotation but 200 rounds of jacketed and defense ammo have resulted in 0 (zero) malfunctions. I am sure it make it in my pocket for the warmer months.
What do I like about this gun? I am a 1911 fan and usually carry a commander or officer so I like the familiarity of the format at a much more convenient size. Sometimes it just very inconvenient to carry a larger gun and this checks the box in a pitch. If you are reading this review you obliviously don’t have an issue with having a safety on a defensive firearm so I won’t need to defend that. I am happy with the purchase.

First off, the service from Bud's was as usual phenomenal! I ordered on Monday and was at my FFL on Thursday! This gun is a joy to carry and shoot! I only have 100 rounds through her so far but no issues at all. This gun is so light I don't even realize I'm carrying her.

Better than expected. I heard it might have issues feeding hollow-points and flat nose rounds but so far i have had no malfunctions using them. Put at least 500 of each through it with no issues at all. My only regret is not buying another one when it was on sale.

What a perfect find for concealed carry! Amazing feel when handling the gun....shoots perfectly. Small enough to conceal on waist or even ankle when wearing nicer clothes are required. Sig has made the perfect gun.....loved this one so much I bought the P938 as well.

The P238 is such a great feeling pistol in the hand! Smooth operation and EXCELLENT trigger. The Legion coating, upgraded trigger, and extra capacity take the p238 to another level! This was my first purchase from Buds for a firearm and the transaction could not have gone better!

This is my first Sig Sauer pistol. Their reputation is very solid and this P238 is a high quality firearm. The firearm arrived well oiled. Especially impressed with how quick the day glow green front site is picked up when shooting. The tritium night sights are also a big plus. I shot about 130 rounds on the first test shoot with no malfunctions, using 5 different types of ammo; 2 ball, 1 flat nose and 2 different HP rounds. All fed flawlessly even though I did not clean the gun before I started testing. All 5 types of ammo went to almost exactly the same place in relation to sight picture and placement was accurate at top of front site post. Recoil is very minimal and natural aim point good, even with my large hands. I am impressed with the legion features on this pistol, though pricing at a couple hundred less than anywhere else did influence the decision. Cleaning is easy and field stripping was a little tight on the removal of the slide catch the first couple times I disassembled it. I came out much easier the third time . The magazine was difficult to insert when new, requiring a push of the release button to insert it, but it to loosened up considerably after the first hundred rounds and now inserts easily with a firm push. Great pistol!

As usual buds service was great. This is a great little 380. Very nice sights. I have shot about 100 rounds thru it with zero issues. The gun is very well built with melted edges. It works great for coat pocket carry. I also liked the fact that it came with three mags. I am very satisfied with the gun.

Received 12/27 and used to qualify for ccp on 12/28 right out of the box. This is the rolex of 380 pocket pistols. Ran flawlessly, accurately and effortlessly and is destined to become my all time favorite small carry pistol. Workmanship and fit and finish is spotless. 5 stars all the way.

Quick ship and like the price on this mini-compact. Great for CCW here in FL where carrying in warmer weather is a challenge.

Bought this Sig P238 Legion to replace a similar 380 micro-compact from a manufacturer which model name is same as a Whitney Houston/Kevin Costner movie. The trigger on the other was just awful.
Have other Sig pistols (220, 226) and have always been impressed with Sig's design and quality of manufacture.
This P238 Legion upholds Sig's reputation on both design and quality. The trigger on this P238, in addition to being of similar design to 1911, because it's also the Legion version, is an aluminum machined trigger versus the plastic on conventional P238's. Big positive.
The Sig X-ray sights are really sweet as well.
Even though it's heavier than other manufacturer's micro-compacts, especially if you're using this for CCW (what else would you be using a micro-compact for?), it's a league above all the others.
