This is an attractive little number that was going to be ideal for light weight hunting but has a trigger that does not measure up. Oh, Remington says it's externally adjustable with the little set screw that protrudes down into the trigger guard opening and scratches your finger! Well, even if you back it all the way out to lighten the trigger, there seems to be no effect,
then the screw falls out, never to be returned into the micro opening. So frustrating! I believe Remington does not want you to have a light trigger for liability reasons (with all their current lawsuits), and yet give you the impression that you can have a fully adjustable trigger purely for marketing reasons. So what's needed is to trash the stock trigger and have a Jewell or Timney trigger installed, then you can find out if the gun shoots (?) This was all to frustrating , so off to the gun show it went!

Just started breaking in the barrel on the model 7 ss hs . It’s a good gun and looks to be a good shooter and I would recommend this gun to anyone. They have improved the x mark pro trigger , it’s much better than the earlier one. Shooting factory ammunition now and then I’ll work up some hand loads.
