Best shotgun for the price i love it thanks

I’ve only put 20/25 rounds through it so far, but everything’s been fine. It’s also my first shotgun.

Robust and reliable, just as Mossbergs are known to be. The retrograde is very nice. I love the wood furniture. The shorter 18.5 inch barrel is also very nice for indoor use.

Truly a beautiful, old-school-style trench or riot gun worthy of the 1970s! Hard hitting, hard recoiling, and beautifully blued. What’s old is new again. Mossberg did a FANTASTIC job with these retro scatterguns, but I believe this is the only one that’s blued.

Solid choice for a home defense gun with a little style.

This is my first purchase on BGS and the process was smooth. However, upon receiving the shotgun, I had assembled and tried to pump it and it locked. Won’t budge one bit. Now I’m having to take it to someone that can hopefully fix it. I was hoping to use this for home defense but with this I’m starting to second guess. All reviews I’ve seen about this firearm before purchasing were good, and talked about the reliability of it, but how can I rely on this if this is a common problem with this firearm? I hope to change my mind about it once it’s fixed and I put some rounds through it

In my opinion, the best standard pump shotgun. Love it. Basic but perfect. Looks great too. As for Buds, awesome like always.

Awesome shotgun, really beautiful wood and looks great and super light. Recommend if you’re looking for and and an inexpensive shotgun with a little flair.

This is my first shotgun at the age of 58. It is real beauty and the recoil was not as bad as I was bracing for. Function is smooth and simple and was fun to shoot. Going out tomorrow for a more extended session with this excellent shotgun. Buds service and shipping was quick and efficient.

The Mossberg 500 retro-pump has the right look and feel that I was looking for. What a great pump action 12 gauge and with Buds gun shop service and sale prices you can’t beat it.

Very nice, I've owned the same version in matte and blued both plastic furniture. Really dig the walnut wood feel, fit, and finish.

I was very excited about this shotgun and Buds had it for $100 less than any local dealers. After receiving it and trying to shoot it I was very dissapointed in the quality. The edges for the opening to load shells are razor sharp and I cut my thumb twice loading. When I try to cycle the action the elevator jams constantly about halfway down and wont feed shells. When I can get it to feed, the spent shells fail to eject about every fourth shot. These problems are not from short shucking, the gun is just poorly made. I've had an 870 for ten years and never experieced any issues like this. This was my first time puchasing a Mossburg and I will never buy another. It is attractive with the blued steel and wood so I give it points for looks but would never trust my life with this weapon.

It was definitely worth the extra money for the beautiful walnut stock and forend. The recoil pad also looks good and functions well. The action was smooth out of the box. It patterns well with the 18.5" barrel and it was a simple task to swap barrels with a 24" with rifle sights (sold separately) for slug shooting. Great purchase!
