I have had this now for a while. Fun to shoot but it kicks your a**. This is my go to home protection weapon. Buds is great and makes it easy.

Been waiting to get this one for awhile. The price was right so i finally pulled the trigger. Love the Kel-tec brand.

Fast shipping. Had to learn to like the gun only because I only shot regular shotguns. But after a few online videos learned ways to reload gun much fast. The gun is amazingly compact. Sight is super high makes aiming easy.

The KS7 is light, comfortable to hold and wield, and ominously good-looking! I did not shoot it in its stock configuration so I cannot comment on that, but all reviews indicated a need for a more robust butt pad and strongly suggested a muzzle brake, which I heeded. I added the Mo-Tac KS7/KSG recoil pad and a Hi-Tech CC Defender Muzzle Brake. I also replaced the carry handle with the KS7 Picatinny full-length rail system, added a Vortex Venom red dot sight installed on a FOCUHUNTER adjustable height riser mount, and finally added an offset tactical light. I put about 10 rounds of 00 Buck through it and in its current configuration it is not only a blast to shoot it is surprisingly comfortable! I cannot wait to exercise it again! We even did a rapid deployment of three rounds with no issues in the ejection of spent shells or the feeding of new rounds and the accuracy at 25 feet was awesome! I know this is for product reviews but I have to add a short comment pointing out Bud's pricing on the standard black finish is the best I found on the Net and their service was exemplary!

I love this thing! I’ve had no issues cycling, though I’ve avoided mini-shells. I’m left eye dominant and definitely appreciate the bottom ejection, it is lefty-friendly. Recoil is not that bad, though I did put an aftermarket replacement pad on it. I love the compact size as well. Highly recommend it!

A good all around shotgun. KSG has my vote from now on.

Really cool, but really overpriced for you what you get. Everything about this is cheap cheap cheap. The buttstock is embarrassing and typically the first thing you have to change out if you don't want to be bruised. In fact, there is almost a half dozen things you will change in the first week of ownership that should have been built into this from the factory. They use as much plastic as possible on this, which makes it light, but also makes it very cheap feeling. The carry handle with the sights is full plastic, the grip is a cheap hard plastic, even the internal follower is plastic, which if you want a smooth feed, you immediately upgrade to the aluminum follower that they themselves sell as an "upgrade", which should have been built into the product. This is a cheap gun for an expensive price, and the last KelTec that I ever purchase. The whole thing needs to go back to the drawing board and rethought with some actual quality.

I bought this for home defense and it fits the bill perfectly!!! Lightweight, compact and decent capacity. I am looking forward to adding a muzzle break and additional chin protection..

I had to clean up some burr marks off the feed lever, after that I've cycled birdshot, slugs, buck shot, with no issues. It could be my imagination but I feel the felt recoil is pretty mild.

I received the KS-7 in a reasonable amount of time, as usual from Bud's. After lubrication and spending some time working the action, I took it to the gun club. I had seen some YouTube reviews, some of which were favorable, and some critical. Of course, that is to be expected. Note: I did replace the plastic magazine follower with the Kel-Tec aluminum one that they offer. I loaded 8 of the Aguila mini shotshells and a few low brass rounds. Contrary to some reviews, the mini shells fed, fired and ejected flawlessly as did the low brass shells. The recoil from the mini shells is very light. The fiber optic sight is awesome!! You couldn't ask for a better sighting system. This shotgun will be a quite effective home defense weapon. I have some Aguila mini buckshot on order and plan to try them as soon as they arrive. But in the meanwhile, the mini shotshells will suffice. I don't think you need heavy duty loads at home. (Sometimes just the sound of racking the slide on a pump gun can be a deterrent). I am pleased with this shotgun, the price, and the service from Bud's.

Your going to need a butt pad and a pad on the cheek rest before you shoot it. I put about 50 or so rounds through this the day I picked it up and it beat me up. It is so light that even some basic 00 left a deep bruise in my shoulder and the steel cheek rest kept punching me in the face. I have made some modifications that fixed these issues. I put on a limb saver butt pad and I found a 1/4" stick on pad for the cheek rest and it's comfortable to shoot now. I also replaced the lousy sighting set up that came with it and got a rail from Kel-tec and put on a red dot. This thing is easy to handle and a ton of fun. If you're new to shotguns I wouldn't recommend this but if you are addicted to all things 12 gauge like me then you need to add this to you collection.

Love my KS7. Bought it last year, and it has been a champ so far. Bought the tank brake from HiTech customs, and extended pad from Keltec, and the recoils is very manageable. Accuracy is very good straight out of the box.

It's a fantastic shotgun. It's lightweight, and shoulders well. I prefer it to the KSG.

Probably my favorite shotgun I’ve ever shot and it is surprisingly accurate and not as much kick as what people say with the buck shot and slugs and gosh dang it, it has shot every time I’ve used it which is all I can ask for in a firearm.

I’ve had numerous variations of the shotgun platform and this is by far the most applicable home defense shotgun. Lightweight, compact and very maneuverable. Yes, the lighter weight does result in more of a recoil kick but that can/is mitigated with the use of a recoil pad and a howitzer muzzle brake (which definitely works!). Very fun to shoot and surprisingly accurate with slugs. I had it’s bigger brother the KSG and this is much more ergonomic if you will. Lastly, for those that complain about jams, feeds and other gripes it boils down to one thing. Don’t be a sissy and rack it like a rocket, have had ZERO issues!

I was anxious to receive my KS-7 once I had placed my order. I liked the concept of a bullpup shotgun for home defense when Keltec brought out the KSG, but felt the KSG was too heavy (but mostly too expensive) for the job. Out of the box, the KS-7 is a great home defense gun. Eventhough the carry handle attachment may give it a "Buck Rogers" look, it shoulders very easily and puts the front sight right at eye level (no having to pull your cheek down to find the sight). I was also surprised to find out how much the front sight was visible in low light conditions. The gun has fed and fired everything I have put to it so far, without any failures. I even put some of the 1-3/4" "shorty" rounds through it (it will hold 10 of these shells) without a problem. The only issue that I would point out is that because it is so light, the recoil can be a bit much (depending on the type of shell/load you are using). It's not like I'll be taking out for rounds of trap and in a self defense situation, you probably won't notice the recoil. Still, you may want to consider one of the aftermarket pads available.

Remarkably short, light and maneuverable, the KS7 is a very agile single magazine tube little brother to the higher capacity Kel-Tec KSG. The KS7's carry handle with integrated green triangular fiberoptic front sight is very convenient and useful, and also makes the KS7 look like the M41A pulse rifle from Aliens - Be vewwy quiet. We're hunting xenomorphs. Like the KSG, positive pump action is required but with sufficient force the KS7 is very reliable, and as an added bonus it reliably feeds mini shells and mini slugs to increase the capacity to 11+1.
