This gun like all M&Ps is absolutely flawless. Nice smooth trigger, low recoil. Love this thing!!!

Very nice pistol, feels good in the hand. Performace Center fine tuning makes a difference. As a Smooth trigger, Optics are great. Easy to carry with the right holster, and if you want/need more capacity, (where allowed), 4+ mag extensions are easy to find.

Great gun store, the weapon a performance center from S&W is a fine weapon I was sure it would be the only issue is I did not receive the Allen wrench to remove OSP Plate the packaging of tools and direction and weapon were very poor for such an expensive weapon. I have not fired it yet

I'm a big fan of the M&P from performance center and my favorable experience with the subcompact 3 inch model prompted me to buy the 4 inch model with the red dot sight. The standard fiber optics sights are great and quick on target. The performance center models offer a lighter trigger and ported barrel which I feel improves accuracy. The M&P has replaced my Glock 26 as my favorite carry gun. I like the option of the thumb safety which came on the 3 inch model, but was not offered on this model. I guess I can live without the thumb safety. I am very disappointed with the red dot sight and decided is was not worth the additional $300. 1. There is no on/off switch, so once you load the battery it stays on all the time. 2. The dot is too dim in daylight and even difficult to see in darkness. 3. The instructions say the battery is good for a year, but I noticed it's dimmer after just a month. 4. To change the battery you have to completely remove the sight with two hex screws, which is a pain. 5. The sight is difficult to zero with a tiny hex wrench. I plan to contact S&W to see what options I have to resolve these issues. While I really like the Performance Center M&P and I cannot recommend spending an addition $300 for this cheap and poorly designed red dot sight.
