Sweet gun. Great fit and finish. Smooth action and accurate for a pistol cartridge. As always Henry makes a great rifle.

This is a fantastic rifle. I use it when I hunt thicker areas. It has no problem reaching out to 100+ yards but I like it as a quick and handy rifle when the shots are closer.

Henry makes a quality product. You will see the quality in its fit and finish the second you take it out of the box. Functions perfectly, a dead on tack driver. Easy to handle with the 16in barrel. Even with the 44mag the recoil is very manageable, I would put the recoil on par with a 20ga shotgun. I think most folks would be very happy with this gun. Recommended.

I own several Henry rifles and love them all. I purchased this particular one expecting nothing less. I actually was surprised how well this rifle handles and shoots. Not near the reoil I expected since I own .44 pistol and was expecting more recoil. What a grat and fun gun to shoot. I also had a hassle free time with ordering from Bud's and shipping to their store was quicker than expected.

Beautiful Gun. Perfect size. Great Craftsmanship. A classic and made in America. Wish the sights were higher quality.

The forearm stock was a little loose. Only took me a couple of seconds to tighten down.

I bought this gun to walk the thickest woods I can find. I needed something small light and compact. I know the 44 mag will put down any hog or deer alive today.
First time buyer from buds and I am very pleased with the transaction. I am a Hickok 45 fan so thank him for the advertising.

This is my first lever action. And I LOVE it. The shipping was fast 2 days I think. And it had no damages during the trip. Loop hole is a bit excessive, so may need to change it to a regular or medium loop.

Great price for a great rifle. Prompt and courteous service. Very quick delivery. Will do business with them again.

First shot some cowboy loads in it and it shot erratic groups. Then shot some of my reloads that were a higher power and the groups were a lot better at 50 yds. About 3”.

I bought this gun for recreational shooting and maybe the occasional pig in the TX hill country. It is, so far, everything I expected. I am quite happy with it. I have come to like the Henry guns and will probably acquire more after the steel frame big boys get the side loading gates like they just introduced on the brass receiver 30-30.

My first Henry product and am pleased with the rifle’s fit and finish. Have only had it to the range once so far but it performs flawlessly. Had been considering one of the brass receiver Henry’s but like the steel much better. It is much more of a “using” rifle than the brass and is substantially lighter. This carbine length barrel handles extremely well. My only small negative is that my 75 year old eyes do not adapt well to the buckhorn sights and have already ordered a Skinner peep sight the factory sight. Like the rifle so well am now considering purchasing the 357 mag version.

This rifle is another example of the fine quality and craftsmanship that is the hallmark of Henry firearms. Flawless fit/finish and the action cycles smoothly. The rifle feels solid and shoulders with the sights lining up quickly. I ran some Hornady Leverrevolution 225 gr flextips through this Henry and achieved excellent groups with open sights. Report and recoil are manageable. I absolutely recommend this rifle to anyone wanting a fast-handling and fun gun.

Wish I had bought a Henry sooner this is a sweet gun the shots great. Tried a Rossi before this that was horrible n am used to Marlins which are also good. Needless to say I am very happy with this gun.

Buds was great - I received this just a few days after i made my final 90 day layaway payment. This is my 3rd Henry and it is awesome. The action is as smooth as can be right out of the box. This carbine is just amazing and tames the hottest 44mags for hunting days and feels like a light plinker with 44spcls for long fun days at the range. You can never go wrong with Henry, far better than all the other levers. Highly recommend this carbine.

Received the rifle within 1 week and in good condition. My first Henry lever rifle I was VERY impressed with build quality and the smoothness of the action. Took it to my range and it proved to be an excellent shooter right out the box running my same .44 Mag loads as my Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver with no feeding issues. The sights are good but it shoots a bit high with lower level .44 Mag loads but I have fixed that. Henry Carbine with the short 16.5 inch barrel is very handy to shoot and carry around and a great value for the money!!

I love this. It's all I thought it would be and more. It doesn't have nuch of a recoil, it's heavy duty, easy to reload, and high quality. Thanks to Henry Rifles and Bud's for keeping it all American!

I bought the Henry 44mag Big Boy steel carbine. Shipping was a little slow, due to heavy orders at Bud's. But not to bad. Gun was just like what was pictured and listed. It arrived in great condition. I'll have to get another one so the kids won't fight over them in the future.

First of all....Bud's was fantastic to deal with.....very simple on line purchase procedure and associates were very helpful answering a couple questions I had. Now, the Henry Big Boy Steel .44 Mag Carbine. Beautiful gun, the wood and steel are perfect.....nice grain in the wood with no imperfections.....no scratches or marks on the steel. The fit and finish are perfect.....no gaps where wood and metal meet. The gun is very light, the short length is perfect for my use as a brush gun, the action is very smooth and the large loop level not only looks good, but fits my hand perfectly, even with gloves. I would highly recommend this gun to anyone looking for a good brush gun for deer, hogs etc

The Henry Big Boy steel is a very nice rifle. The fit and finish is well done. The wood is beautiful and nicely finished with the wood pores filled. The action is smooth right out of the box. The rifle feeds extremely well and is quite accurate. The rear sight slides smoothly in its dovetail. I am absolutely satisfied with this purchase.

Shes a thumper. Great grab and go gun. Like most Henry's, shoots a bit high. With a little practice you get used to it, and can be very accurate well beyond 100 yds. The action is like glass: exceptionally smooth. An heirloom piece for generations down the road. Thanks henry and buds guns.

This is a fun lever action rifle to play around with. Shoots decent groupings. can't wait to mount a scope and go hunting with it. Buds has always been good to do business with. I've bought from them many times in the past and have never had an issue. I also like the fact that they support hickock45.

I love the gun but i just didnt notice the dented checkering till i got home.My first Henry and was so happy to receive it i didnt ever notice. I should have caught it though.I am happy with it other than that. Thanks

I own a few Henry rifles, but this one is my favorite. Fun to shoot. I had to put a taller front sight on it because of the loads I shoot. Henry firearms are good quality, sturdy, good fit and finish.

Great gun just like my other Henry's. Did come with a small loop. All of the pictures on the internet show it with a large loop. Called Henry and they are sending a large loop for no charge. Top Notch company. I will continue to buy their products. Just a note about the shipping. It was the fasted I have ever received a gun after the sale was complete.

Wasn't packed properly inside of outer container, no packing material, just bouncing around. Arrived with box demolished and barrel pertruding both containers. I inspected the item and found no mechanical damage so I accepted. Its important to note that the rifle DID NOT have a big loop lever like advertised. Henry is sending me one for free. The forend was also somewhat loose with a lot of play.
