Beautiful firearm and packs a punch on deer.

Great rifle shoots great only 1 deer so far love shooting it

This gun is awesome. Fully met my expectations. The action is smooth and the rife is accurate. Recoil is surprisingly light for this caliber using leverevolution 325 grain rounds. The rifle also looks great.

Gun is beautiful, is a perfect weight and has a smooth action. I would 100% recommend it to anyone looking for a big game lever action gun.

I have wanted this rifle for some time now(Henry 45-70 AW), I finally made the purchase and was not disappointed. Fit and finish are perfect , this is my second Henry and I am looking forward to my next Henry purchase .

Looks great can't wait to shoot it

The service from Buds was outstanding which I have come to expect. The gun was shipped and delivered to my ffl within 4 days. The fit and finish were excellent especially compared to the Marlin 1895G I bought a couple of weeks ago. One issue I did have was during cleaning. The lever screw will not come out. It unscrews without an issue but gets caught on something and won't come out. I think there is something wrong with the screw or the hole in the lever the screw passes through. I contacted Henry in the morning and had a prepaid shipping label emailed to me by that afternoon. It looks like the customer service Henry is know for us legitimate. I just don't like the idea of spending $900 on something and sending it in for warranty work before a single shot has been fired.

First of all Bud's is a safer deal when ordering on line I received this weapon and the inner tube was very hard to remove did not send it back to Bud's because I rather notify Henry who stands behind their rifles 100% had an issue with my 357 Henry and they sent me a brand new rifle anyway got in touch with Henry and they sent me a new part to the rifle and I rectify the situation with a simple fix the rifle works great now and shoots great.I'am 76 years old and at 100 yards right in the bull the rifle is fantastic .

The Bud's layaway program is an excellent way to purchase a firearm. The payments went smooth, with immediate shipping upon receipt of last payment. The rifle itself was beautiful, cycled well, and all seemed good. That is until I tried to remove the bolt for cleaning. The bolt wedged between the receiver and the hammer and wont clear for removal. No matter what I tried it will not clear the hammer. I just received the UPS shipping label, from Henry, so time will tell.

Beautiful rifle. Looks even better in person. Have gotten many compliments at the range based on it's hard chrome finish. 45–70 is a punishing round, however. I started loading my own and brought it down to a much more comfortable level. Unless you are hunting with this, I suggest you start out with cowboy loads. Your shoulder will thank you. Loading takes a little bit of practice since it requires gently rotating the feeding tube while pushing and sometimes tilting the rifle a little. It's certainly not the fastest rifle to load, but it's not bad once you get the hang of it. I wish it had come from the factory with a ghost ring rear sight or a skinner rear sight instead of the Buckhorn sights. But that is easy enough to swap out. I also wish that it would have come with a scope rail. It would have been a very inexpensive extra to throw in the box. It requires a weaver 63-B rail, just so you know. I had to call Henry rifles to find that out. But I do like the fact that it is about a full pound lighter than the similar marlin 1895 (7lb vs. 8lb). On the whole, I really like this rifle and enjoy shooting it. I highly recommend it.
