I haven't had this all that long and I've only had it to the range once. I fired 50 rounds of Norma 115gr FMJ and 50 rounds of IMI 115gr JHP. It ate all that up without a hitch. This pistol seemed to be accurate, I'm no pistolero but it's as accurate as in my hands as my Glock. Build quality was pretty nice. I like the way it feels in my hand and I found it comfortable to shoot. I felt the price was right considering the overall high quality. I wanted to say the good things first. why? Because the DA trigger pull SUCKS. I'm not sure when I've had a handgun with a worse trigger. Looong and mushy. The SA trigger pull was nice. But I didn't want a pistol that is only good in SA. If I wanted that I could have bought a 1911 clone in 9mm. That isn't what I wanted. I wanted SA/DA and considering the terrible trigger I'm not sure that's really what I got. I'm only 100 rounds in, maybe I'll get used to it. If I don't then it is already time to consign it and move on. Not quite sure about this pistol.

Buds service was great as always. The pistol seems to be of good quality but I was disappointed that it did not come with a hard case, I know you do not buy a firearm for the case, just would have been nice. Comes in a zipper soft case.

I have 5 different springfield xd models and this one is now my favorite carry. Great feel very accurate and the hammer, trigger combo is buttery Smoot great gun.

9MM,DA/SA, easy to conceal, it fit my needs and I would recommend this pistol and Buds customer service.

Not sure if I love it or hate it, nice and slim, a little heavy, shoots good but the trigger leaves a little to be desired , it never seems to be at the right spot. Buds was great as always

Very nice pistol. I like the safety/decocker option along with the hammer. It just sits higher than the XDS. Had to get used to that feel.

Great everyday carry pistol. Have put only about 200 rounds through it so far with no issues.

I love external hammer handguns. Naturally I had to own this one. I took it to the range and put about 100 9mm thru it. Happy to say it functioned flawlessly. I am somewhat disappointed in the accuracy out of the box. I have may other Springfield handguns that were more accurate out of the box. The accuracy for the XD-E can be corrected with some adjustments on my part. It's small enough to conceal carry. However, I don't plan to do so until I have corrected the accuracy problem.

I've had this gun for a month and have put 529 rounds down range with no problems. It eats every thing without fail. This gun interested me as a better, lighter option for my E.D.C. after finally coming to the realization that i trust hammer fired guns more than striker fired guns. I liked my AREX CP1 as my E.D.C. but it became some what hard to concel in the summer months due to width and weight. This gun is great!!! it points true, shoots straigt and easy to concel (strong side or appendix). Say what you want about the grip zone but it helps with the purchase of the weapon upon drawing. Trigger is a 7 out of 10 and the reset is functional. Recoil is light, the boar axis is comparible to a sig-saur (a little high but that never effected my shooting) and the sights are great straight out of the box. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in hammer fired guns or already like them. good job to Springfield for this experiment lol. Oh yeah Buds guns is great. They shipped to my FFL and I recieved it in three days. This is like my 14th purchase from Buds and they never disappoint.

I bought this pistol thinking it would be my primary carry pistol. I was particularly interested in this pistol because of the hammer fire feature and decocking feature. The pistol arrived in very quick amount of time, as Bud's is always great in getting their pistols out quickly, and was impressed with the look and feel of the pistol. The XDE is actually a little bigger than I expected, even though I researched the specs. on the gun, so I don't carry this as much as I originally thought. I will say the trigger on this pistol is very smooth and really nice. The gun is very accurate right out of the box. Overall a very nice shooting pistol. I definitely have no regrets purchasing this pistol.

Great gun at a great price

While I'm a huge fan of traditional double action I was not impressed with this firearm at all. If aesthetics matter to you at all keep in mind that it really looks like a Hi-Point at first glance. It seemed a bit top heavy to me and although I have very large hands I could barely reach the trigger when it was in double action. Single action was extremely smooth and racking the slide manually was much easier than most striker fire guns. All in all I was just disappointed in this product.

Love this gun, shoots great, love the sights, and very light recoil. As always great deal from Buds, 3rd gun purchased from them, price is always right and the shipping is fast. would highly recommend the Springfield Armory XD-E 9mm and Buds to anyone.

I just received my new DX-E and couldn't be happier. Haven't shot it yet but I love the looks and feel of the pistol. It's going to be very easily concealed. If you're looking for a smaller, more concealable DA/SA pistol, give the DX-E a long hard look. This was my first purchase with Buds and it was a pleasure doing business with them. Their communication throughout my layaway was excellent and they shipped it to my FFL the day after I made the last payment. Thank you Buds and I'll be purchasing more firearms in the future as soon as I can.

Well, this is the seventh gun I've purchased from Bud's and everything went as smooth as usual. As for the XD-E, it is exactly what I was looking for in a 9mm. It's not too big, not too small, and it's extremely accurate with mild recoil. It took a little getting used to the initial DA trigger pull, but after a little practice I was able to get 2 1/2 " groups at 25 feet, which is very good for me. The single action trigger pull is about 4 lbs, which is perfect for me. 5 stars for Springfield Armory, and 5 stars for Bud's.

This gun is great, and might replace both my summer(sig938) and winter(PT111) daily carry. What I like: 1) Safety- The thumb safety with de-cocker provides the ultimate protection from negligent discharge. There is no way to fire this gun unintentionally, yet it can be fired immediately when needed. Perfect for CCW 2) There is no silly backstrap/grip safety or trigger safety, both of which I find an uncomfortable nuisance 3) The trigger is great out of the box, and I have no temptation to spend $$ upgrading it(and opening additional liability) 4) Fit and feel. I admit that my wife's XD mod2 felt like it was born in my hand the first time I picked it up, but this is a close second in the "natural fit" category 5) Accuracy. Dead on at 25 yards, just like Springfield says. 6) Ambidextrous thumb safety and magazine release 7) EASY mag release(about half the spring pressure of any other. I can easily drop the mag with my right middle finger while fetching another mag with my left hand) 8) "Low effort Slide." I didn't notice any difference until reading(guess I should read more) the "low effort" was due to the ability to cock the hammer prior to racking the slide, so unlike a striker-fired gun, the only effort required is against the recoil spring, making it much easier. A real benefit to smaller shooters or those with medical conditions. 9) LARGE opening for trigger finger(vertical height). Arthritis has bent all my fingers, and my index finger gets pinched in many other guns with a small trigger guard. 10) Price and Bud's service. Will be shooting this gun in 2 weeks in CCP division. I won't win, but it won't be the gun's fault!

This is not my first Springfield, and it won't be the last, I don't care about all the news about Springfield that's had everybody all up in arms, means nothing to me, everyone was saying why the XD-E, why now, why did they come out with that ? Well, you won't appreciate it till you hold it , it's like a woman, once you hold it, you will want to hold it again, fine firearm, Thanks again Buds.

Although springfield has a recent bad wrap, I continue to appreciate the fine craftsmanship and innovation that they put into their weapons and that does not end at the XDE... This pistol does everything that you'd expect and will be more accurate than the beholder. Buds transaction has been professional on both of my firearms even though the first one did not go completely to plan... they made it right and you can't ask more than that. Thanks Buds!!

very well made, great grip,compact size. this gun can be carried cocked and locked like a1911 or de-cocked for double action with safety on or off. loaded chamber indicator, extremely reliable, very thin for carry. what more could you ask for.

Great shooting Springfield. Had it shipped to my range, checked it out minutes after completing my paperwork. Ran approximately 300 rds of magtech ammo thru her on day one, no failures to feed or eject. Sight picture is great, love the fiber optic. Now, being a non striker fired XD it is a little different, but it's great! I passed it around and several others who shot XDe for the first time agreed, it's a keeper. I only rated this gun with four stars only because I only put about 100 rounds through it so far. Bud's guns was ok on their price and the delivery took about a week however, I was not too happy about having to pay a higher price in order to use my credit card for the purchase. I have used other site's to purchase firearms in the past and using my credit card was never a problem nor did it effect the purchase price.
