One of my favorite 1911s! Weight and balance is perfect. The trigger is the best one of several of my top brand 1911s. And, I always love bright front sights! For the price it easily competes with guns twice its price

This was my first 1911 buy and they aren't really my cup of tea. Bud's delivered fast and hassle free. Of all of the firearms I have purchased with Bud's so far I have yet to have a single issue. Whether or not the firearm is to my liking on the range or not is beside the point. Bud's is always 5 stars.

Got this 1911 from Buds last month. Having owned and shot Kimber’s before I wanted another and had a desire for one with a 5” barrel. I was a bit skeptical of this since it was under $1,000 and the lower was composite. Well, I just hit the range today and was very impressed. It was comfortable in my hands and spot on at 7 yards. After about 75 rounds at 7 yards I ran the target to about 12 yards. Again, spot on. The feel is obviously lighter than an all metal gun but the overall comfort and dexterity of it is as good as any 1911 I’ve fired. I can highly recommend this gun and look forward to my next outing with it.

This is my first Kimber, tomorrow will be the 2nd time I have shot it and am still getting accustomed to it as compared to my other 1911s. Well made, great sights, very light.

Love this gun,The Kimber was very tight when I got it. Went to rack the slide for the first time and it jammed. Cleared the magazine and Cleared the jam and racked the slide 8 to 10 times and no problems. This gun is amazing, and as always a pleasure doing business with Bud's to think there are still practice great customer service !!!! They keep you updated the whole process it's truly a pleasure.

You're reading the reviews because you're trying to make up your mind...Well, just get this one. She's gorgeous. Super, super lightweight and feels extremely comfortable in your hands. Trigger is crisp and clean. Slide is smooth and tight, and finish is top notch. Rubber grips are grip well and are not too aggressive. This is my first Kimber and it's making me wish I would have bought one a long time ago. She instantly became my favorite. Don't be a skeptic about the aluminum frame. After all, your AR has one too. In my humble opinion, the weight difference between this, and a traditional 1911, is actually an advantage for the Kimber. I find it easier to shoot for longer periods of time, and easier to control. Not to mention it is very accurate right out of the box. Beautiful firearm and Buds was great as always!

This gun is smooth! Beautiful example of a 1911 in true Kimber style. Functions great with all types of 45ACP. Spend the extra money. It’s worth it. And of course getting it through BUDS is the ONLY way. They make the whole process great! Thank you Buds guns!! Bryan K

I was initially concerned about Buds due to past reviews. The FFL here put me at ease as about 1/3 of the guns he receives are from Buds and he and his customers have never had a problem. I now am in this group of very satisfied customers. I purchased a Kimber 1911 Shadow Ghost and it arrived ahead of ETA with all in great shape. The pistol looks fantastic and I am anxious to enjoy it at range. Buds has been extremely easy and helpful to work with. Looking forward to a future purchase.

Very pleased with this purchase. Kimber Shadow Ghost is a fine shooting side arm right out of box. Was worried about the trigger but was very pleased.

Purchased this Kimber LW 1911 a while back this is one outstanding shooting and accurate handgun and has become my concealed carry weapon for daily carry . No problems out of it so far have ran around 600 rounds through it runs flawlessly.

I can't say enough positive things about Kimber! I have several friends who swear by them and I finally found one at a great Buds price and went for it. I finally got to the range with it! When they say Custom Light Weight, they aren't kidding, it's lighter than almost any other handgun I own for sure, handles like a dream, looks are premium gorgeous gray and black with a nice g10 grip. As for accuracy, WOW out of the box unreal performance! Great sight setup between the rear white dots and front fiber optic (which comes with a few extra tubes and colors in the box for you and it also includes a takedown wrench) 100 rounds through it on it's first day out and it blasted many 4 or 5 round holes together. Really a joy to handle due to the weight etc. I only wish Kimber would provide more than one magazine! And when you buy your extra mags, don't skimp.

This one was a funny one for me. I ordered it and buds gave me a delivery date. I walked in to get it and UPS followed me in. Buds definitely did their part again. As far as the kimber I couldn’t ask for a better feel. Love it

Love this gun. needed a little sight adjustment. but shot everything I have put into it. from cheap to relatively expensive ammo. rite out of the box, it has great balance and feels really good in the hand. the only trouble I had was with hollow point ammunition. the gun did not like hollow point ammunition. Looks good, feels good, I only wish it was a little less expensive. Would I recommend it to a friend. Yes. Would I buy it again. Yes. It is a really nice Kimber to have in your collection.

This is a very hard review for me to do. I WANT to love this hardware because of what it is, but it was a very rocky start. It took about 500 rounds to bring it to an acceptable level of reliability in completely feeding to battery. Tried mags from brands from Wilson Combat to Mec-Gar to Colt AND Sig Sauer all with the same result. Somewhere between shots 600 and 700 I had only ONE fail to feed to battery. It's a lightweight so it will be more comfortable to carry and faster to put on target but in turn a little more recoil. My wife loves it.
