Just had to buy it. It was the first pistol I ever shot. This was in the 70’s. I wanted one as soon as I pulled the trigger. Now I have my own and it shoots just like I remember. Ruger hit a home run when they made this design. I’ve done a lot of plinking with it and enjoyed every minute. The only problem with Rugers for me is every time I shoot a new type be it a pistol or revolver I have to get one. It’s a problem I can live with.

The Ruger Mark IV series has revolutionized semi auto .22lr pistols for mankind. Simple breakdown for cleaning with 100% reliability in almost any kind of ammunition is a total game changer for .22lr pistols. I have 4, Mark IV wth 4 different barrels and each one is 100% reliable. Sold my Buckmarks, which I loved, for the new Mark IV's because of easy of cleaning and reliability. My favorite is the 10" barrel model. Accuracy is surprisingly good with mediocre quality ammunition! Randy Okla. City, OK

Bought this for my wife. She loves it. Perfect weight and ease of use for her. Easy to clean. Push a button in the back and it comes Completely apart. No tools needed. Great ptice!

Great shooter, upgraded to the 6 inch barrel model and glad I did. It is a great target shooter, friends all want to shoot it and the price is good. The new Mark IV is easy to take down and clean. Highly recommend for target shooting, actually consider it a must have for plinking. Classic looks are a plus.

The reason most people are buying this gun is because it is easy to break down and clean. That is true, very easy to field strip and clean. Overall quality is good, but the stock trigger is a problem. I've read reviews where people say the trigger is fantastic out of the box. Not true. The take up is too much for a .22 and I just don't understand why. I've looked at the components and don't see any reason for the long take-up. I've been shooting a Buckmark for 20 years and that has a fine trigger. Almost zero take up, probably 2 pound pull and very crisp. You have to have that to get any sort of accuracy. I like this Mark IV overall, but it's going to take a little more money to get a trigger as nice as a Buckmark's stock trigger.

Ruger made this pistol the right way and there is nothing negative about it. I intend to get the shorter barrel one as well.

I purchased this gun Feb 15, 2020. It is the first .22 handgun I have ever owned. I love this gun!! It has a very good feel and fits a small hand well. It is very simple to break down for cleaning, and you will have to clean it, because it is a dream to shoot and eats up anything you put in it. I have been shooting Federals and Winchesters in it with no issues. One thing that was troublesome is the sight, which is black. It was difficult to aim. I painted the small square at the end of the barrel Revlon Red with fingernail polish and problem solved. I think this is a wonderful pistol and will keep it as my favorite gir a long time to come.

Solid, nice shooting gun. The grip angle and tapered barrel make for a comfortable and balanced feel. The fit as I gained purchase was comfortable, but it didn't quite feel ideal. I ordered a new grip to see if that might help. The fixed sights were a bit off. My groups at 10 yards were tight, but left and low. I'll get that adjusted and try again. During about 200 rounds of shooting with this gun, I had one stovepipe using some SuperX bulk ammo. Other than that it was flawless.

I needed another .22 pistol for my instruction. This Ruger Mk-IV (my third one) is just the ticket for getting new shooters to like what we enjoy.
I 'field tested' it with my wife and she enjoyed the range time. A fun day.
I also ordered the 2-pack of magazines. The gun and the mags arrived in a timely fashion and in perfect condition.

I bought this pistol as a plinker and to take squirrel hunting in the fall. It is solidly built and hefty at 29 oz unloaded, but IMO this helps it be a smooth shooter. The sights are not adjustable, but it was quite accurate right out of the box. I put about 300 rounds of Federal 36 gr bulk target ammo through it with no failures. The longer 6" barrel helps me aim, and theoretically increases the velocity of the bullet a little. I'm happy with this purchase, and Bud's was easy to work with.

I was struck at how beautifully manufactured this pistol was right out of the box. Takedown couldn't be easier. Has functioned flawlessly so far. Sights are zeroed in well and the pistol has a good natural aim due to the grip angle. Very impressive for the price. Ruger has a winner with the Mk IV!

Love the Ruger 22...I have a Mark I that still shoots great after around 30,000 rounds have been fired through it since 1974 and I expect nothing less from tthe Mark IV...Feels secure in the hand and very accurate...would love a double stack model with 20 rounds but doesn't exist yet. Can't go wrong with this great firearm.

Great transaction and a great pistol, the finish is better than my MKIII and take down is beyond easy, shoots to point of aim and isn't fussy about ammo.

What a great pistol! Shoot a fair amount of pistols, but was impressed with how comfortable this was to shoot and how natural it aimed. The cleaning issue with its predecessors has been solved and damn it’s fun to shoot!

Service was quick and easy. New in box no damage to any thing. I am very happy and will use Buds again.

First time buying from Buds. Everything went great. This gun is loads of fun. Me and my son have already shot 1,000 rounds thru it with no hiccups. Easy disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly. Next up the Target model.

I haven't fired the gun yet, but I've looked it over and, the quality is great. It easily comes apart for cleaning.

What an easy pistol to shoot. I normally plink with .44 special reloads but this .22LR is just too much fun. I do wish though that Ruger would wake up and do this model in a 9mm. It would resemble the famous German WWII luger. They could call it the Ruger Luger 9mm. Wow, they would sell like hot cakes!

I love this gun ! It's very accurate, more accurate then I am. I plan to find someone who is a very good shot to check it out and see just how accurate it is. I've been trying some different brands of ammo. Far as I can tell CCI 40gr target at 1080 fps and Federal Champion 40gr 1240 fps gave me the best groups. Only problem I've had is with some Win SuperX H.P. I've had a couple misfires that looked like light primer strikes but they fired when tried the second time. The Superx ammo I have is probably at least 25 years old so maybe has something to do with it. No problems or missfires with any of the CCI or Fed. ammo. I've only shot a little over 200 rounds through it so far. Very nice looking gun and a pleasure to shoot !

Picked up my MKIV at my local FFL this morning. Gave it a thorough cleaning and to the range I went. The new take down system is a dream come true for all of us who love our Ruger 22 pistols but hate to clean them. It functioned flawlessly with a variety of ammo. Accuracy was everything we've come to expect from a Ruger 22 pistol. This is my fourth firearm ordered from Bud's and number five is already on the way. A vast improvement on disassembly over the Mk III. Love this pistol...reliable, accurate and a LOT of fun to shoot.

Love the build quality of this pistol. Quick takedown a big plus! Can't comment on accuracy or function, as i have not shot it yet. Pistol delivered to my FFL in 3 short days! Thanks BUDS
