I own a Ruger mini 14. I always buy Ruger magazines. Steel will always out last plastic. Its worth the extra money. Thanks to Buds for years of great service.

Factory mags are best for Mini-14. Bud's is good

Arrived in the mail the same week I ordered it. Finish looks good and works as it should.

No issues firing from these magazines, which cannot be said for the off-brand mag I bought. I did notice one quirk, however. If an odd number of rounds are loaded (i.e. the top round is in the right column), the magazine cannot be loaded with a closed action. If the action is opened ever so slightly, the mag will sit. The issue with the off-brand mag also seemed to occur with an odd number of rounds in the magazine (in that case, the bolt sticks when closing and is left just barely open). This is with a new Mini-14 so I am curious to see if it diminishes as the bolt is worn in. Either way the quirk with the Ruger mag is not really an issue, just something to be aware of.

Very high quality. Fit and finish is excellent. These are costly, but it's worth the price for the quality. Buds even matched the price from another online retailer.

Ordered 6 and all of them could not be loaded into the rifle with 10 rounds in the magazine. There is not enough space in the magazine body to allow it happen. All of them also had sharp feed lips that would cause failures to feed, leaving the brass with deep scratches and shavings of brass all over the place. Have to rack the bolt 1 or 2 times every other round to overcome the bite from the feed lips. Called Ruger and they offered to send them in for "evaluation" but since I live in Connecticut I can't ship it from home or have it sent back to me because Ruger does not ship magazines of any capacity to residents of CT. So I'd have to bring them to an FFL to have them shipped out and shipped back which is an unnecessary hassle with no guarantee that any replacements would be free from defects as well. Very disappointed especially considering how expensive these are and how long Ruger has had to work out any issues they might have had. The 5 round magazines work fine but it looks like I'll have to take all my 10 rounders apart and sand down the feed lips until they no longer bite into the cartridges and feed smoothly. There don't seem to any reliable 10 round magazines for the mini 14 straight out of the package.

Not as well made as the 5 round magazine. Seems quality control is lacking.

I've had problems with this mag feeding Federal 5.56 rds, but not various .223 rnds No problems at all with the Ruger 20 rnd mag with the same ammo. I've written to Ruger about this.
