Federal makes great ammo that you can bet your life on. The performance is consistent and really delivers.

Kicks like a mule! If you don't seat your gun just right it'll give you a pretty sore shoulder. But man is it accurate! Only took a few shots at 100 yards using iron-sights before I was hitting bullseye. Shoots very clean too.

I ordered this ammo to go with the Marlin 1895 I bought from Buds as the price was right and of course it's reloadable . The bullet is a bit light for the 45-70 , but will be fine for medium game . I'm giving it 3 stars because this was some of the dirtiest brass I have ever seen in factory loaded ammo . 2 or 3 in the box would be nice and shiny , while the rest looked like they had laid on a range for a couple of months , then someone picked them up and loaded them . Although very ugly , I shot 2 inch groups at 100 yards with iron sights so it had no affect on function . I am going to convert these into empty brass cases and and clean them up right . Buds shipping was fast and they always get it right .

Shoots good as I used to reload and I think factory or commercial loads are just as accurate and probably safer. Reloaded ammo uses once fired cases or more and can take all day to do do a precision load.
