I love the look and compactness of this gun. However, it has some QC issues. I had trouble getting it to lock into battery at first. Once some metal had worn away (actual metal shavings) it now locks into position very firmly. I also sometimes get light strikes or the hammer doesn't even make it all the way to the firing pin. If I took it apart and filed down the sides of the channel that the hammer goes in I'm sure this would go away. It may wear itself in eventually. I have put maybe 200 rounds through it so far. It is a blast to shoot and has a decent trigger. I can only recommend this if you're ok with maybe having to do a little gunsmithing and/or really love the look/utility of it.

Fun little single shot. Easy to carry around out back folded or not. Accurate enough to smoke some ground hogs. Good lil survival gun if push came to shove. I often leave it in my truck because I forget it's there when folded up. I'd recommend.

The chiappa little badger is a great little gun. It is a fun and cheap gun to shoot. Buds gun shop made the process of buying a gun online so simple and the shipping was fast. I would definitely buy from them again.

Fun little plinking rifle, single shot, great starter rifle for kids

Wanted a single shot with iron sights to make myself have to remember my marksmanship fundamentals that my dad taught me so long ago. The sights are actually plastic, but they must work plenty good enough because I'm deadly with this little thing, as is everyone else I've let try it out. Keyword: Little. I guess I was not prepared for how diminutive of a rifle this would be, but that just makes it that much more handy, as well as a great training tool for the grandkids. Not gonna lie, I would've gladly spent a little more cash for a little more metal, but it's pretty tough to have this much fun and function for this low of a price, and that's not to mention the money you'll save on ammo over blazing through rounds with a semi auto. Simple, accurate, fun, reliable, low maintenance, lightweight, packable . . . Great job, Chiappa, the Little Badger is a winner in my book.

A fun little firearm with a unique system. Taken to the range once so far and no issues. My only complaint is the stock sights are all plastic and the front sight being all black can be hard to see, but I'll probably put a small red dot on it anyway.

An excellent little rifle, very fun to shoot and very accurate. The plastic sights where perfectly zeroed upon arrival and I mounted a red dot to the rail. Fun project gun to wrap in Paracord or add an ammo kit. Awesome survival rifle. No complaints!

Don't confuse minimal with cheap. This is the most minimal 22 caliber rifle I own, but it is a solid well built straight shooter. I have fun for hours with 100 rounds and being a single shot rifle, it slows you down and lets you concentrate on getting the best shot. My only regret is not buying it years ago when they were first released.

i am not much of a camper or woodsman but this little fellow for me was a project rifle nothing wrong with i as is. i always want a project gun to work on i extended the stock by adding a extension form my wood working shop. to fit my long arms. works great love it will rate it hight to others.

Great addition to my collection. Hell of a tack driver right out of the box. The sights are something kinda special, but lets face it more fun put something else on it. love the trigger. Fits nicely in the back pack, can't wait to take it on a hike.

Fun gun and everyone who shoots mine agrees. Its accurate too. My favorite part about it is the absolutely awesome and crisp trigger. The rest does feel very cheap but it is cheap. The sights are PLASTIC AND TERRIBLE, which is why i'm removing a star. Corrected with a cheap red-dot mounted on the rail (also plastic, by the way). I like to use this rifle to practice my fundamentals, being so light makes it extremely sensitive to a steady hand, posture, and breathing. Being single shot slows down the ammo consumption too. The shell holder at the rear is entirely useless, but I never planned on using it anyway. Its there just for looks apparently.

This rifle is a sweet little shooter. Solid construction, decently nice sights being polymer, super trigger measuring under 2 pounds, and the whole package weighing under 3 pounds is a no brainer. For someone looking for a good survival rifle for under $200, this is a steal. Some people knock this rifle, but I personally don't see why. I am considering adding the .17hmr version to my collection. The Chiappa Little Badger is a perfect rifle for old and new shooters.
