Bud's is great to deal with, and the shipping was fast. The Colt M45A1 Marine Pistol is fantastic. Excellent accuracy and no problems out of the box. It's a bit pricey, but a great example of getting what you pay for.

Absolutely an incredible gun. Approaching the 1 year anniversary of purchase and no complaints. She has ran like the beast she was made to be . 0 problems, hollows fmjs hundreds of both so far. Hands down favorite gun / 1911. As always Buds had an incredible deal on it!

I received my new .45 cal. Marine Colt 1911, After going to the Range, I had some issues with it, but after I put over a 100 rounds through it, all issues vanished, I need to put more through her, but I was shooting three others that day. I am VERY please with this Marine pistol. I am a retired Marine myself, so I just HAD to have one :-) I love it, for sure. Very Happy. I learned along time ago with 1911s. We need to put 400 to 500 rounds to get them broke in. even if they shoot with no hick-ups. Break them in.

Great firearm right out of the box extremely actuate not issues with any type of ammo well worth the price only down side is the rail is wider then standard 1911 rail guns holster selection is limited

It’s a good gun but it only comes with one mag and no front strap checkering!? No regrets though, and flawless with 200 rounds.

Good gun overall. Pistol came with a small finish blimesh. For the money, it should have came with more than one mag. Sights are awesome. Mag release leaves plenty to be desired. I could have bought 4 Glocks for the price of this gun. It’s accurate as a laser guided missile, but probably wouldn’t buy it again.

Buds was awesome. The Colt M45A1 is awesome. It is a beautiful piece and shoots like a dream. The only reason I cannot give 5 stars is because for $1,500 you get one lousy 7 round magazine.

Being a former member of the USMC pistol team in HI, I new from the first shot I was going to love it. My only problem was picking which eyebrow on the gnat I wanted to take out. After 50 rounds it was smooth as glass.

First off, Bud's shopping / buying experience is 2nd to none! I am a 1911 fan - some say freak - and this Colt is OUTSTANDING! One of the best pistols I have ever owned and shot. So far, I have run about 200 rounds through it with no issues. Excellent trigger.

Straight to it. The finish on this gun is absolutely phenomenal. I've never seen anything quite like it, and it is tough as nails. Same thing for the grips. They have a great bite with gloves or flesh, but are not too rough. This pistol has beautiful aesthetics, but the real good stuff is in the internals. The safety is incredibly positive being engaged or disengaged, either left or right handed. The mag release is excellent. Pulling the slide back is a joy, you can feel everything roll and lock into place, as tight as a Swiss watch. So it is incredibly well made, as advertised, and rugged. I feel it would be wasted in a safe. This comes with a dual recoil spring, similar to a Glock. It has a very interesting recoil pattern, very little but a bit snappy. Takes just a bit of getting used to, and I mean only about 200 rounds, then I was back to excellent groups. I have shot 1,000 rounds with no issues at all. The trigger has a smidgen of take up, I'm going to guess a 6 pound pull, and a fantastically clean break. The three for tritium Novak sights are amazing, and I put a Streamlight TLR-1 HL light on my front rail. The extra weight makes the already light recoil practically vanish, and I can run a whole magazine extremely quickly. This is a phenomenal pistol, battle ready, and it exudes quality. I absolutely adore it already, and it will be my serious time carry gun, possibly forever.

Great gun! I love shooting this gun. Only thing preventing 5 stars for this gun is the take up on the trigger. This is my first purchase from Bud's and it was painless. I would buy from Bud's again.

Amazing 1911 from fit to finish. It instantly become one of my favorite firearms and one I will never depart with.

Pistol would not lock open on last round. Bought a new mag, borrowed a mag from, a friend, and tried several brands of ammo. None of this helped, so I returned to Colt for repair. When the gun was, returned from Colt, it still had the same problem. I have returned to Colt for the second time, and I'm waiting for them to return.

Very nice, very well made, shoots great luv the bronze ionbound finish. Wish it had usmc on the side but thats ok. my husband likes it he just might order one. Its a little spendy at $1550 but when you look at kimbers and other high end 1911s its still a good deal and the marines special ops carry this same 1911 i know its well made. I like the rail since my other 1911 don't have one. I kind of a 1911 collector because they fit my hand and find the 45 cal. Easy to shoot. The only other gun i own is a small smith and wesson for pocket carry when i carry my 1911. I recommend it for those looking for a high end 1911. This is the gun everyone in the military should carry.

First, a review of Buds. They stuck with me through my frenzy of doubts and changing my mind about 3 times. They were consistently professional and I ended up getting exactly what I wanted. I have not had customer service this good in a long time. Thanks Buds, you guys rock! Now for the pistol: It's amazing. As a former jarhead I have been searching for this gun for about a year. Buds had it at a great price so I finally dropped the hammer on it. The fit and finish are nice and smooth and tight, trigger is crisp and smooth and to my surprise I received the newer version with the IonBond coating as opposed to the Cerakote. It is a little bit darker, i.e., a "burnt bronze" but I personally prefer the color and ionbond. Came with 2 7rd wilson mags and has functioned flawlessly through 50 rounds of critical duty +p and 200 rounds of WWB. This gun will be a treasure of mine for years to come. Thanks buds

Great looking pistol, I could not be happier with the purchase. The serial number is just over 12k so it appears to be the newer ion bond treatment instead of the Cerakote as listed in the description. Big thumbs up to Buds

Such an awesome gun. The one i got doesnt look like the picture though its more of a burnt bronze color and let me tell you, it is absolutely beautiful. From what ive been reading the dark tan/burnt bronze is the new color. Its also a great shooter. Took it to the range and was shooting through the same hole at 14 yards im not a great shot either but this gun makes me one. I honestly cant get over how good it looks. Im very very happy with this one.

Great gun!! First 200 rounds and no issues, perfect zero right out of the box. The Colts weight and balance makes recoil feel more like a 9mm. To big and heavy for a carry gun in my opinion, but easily ready for competition or just some fun plinkin'. The price was quite a bit more than I wanted to pay for a 1911 but it just looks so darn cool!! Makes my Marine friends envy this ex sailor so that makes it worth every penny to me. Use a credit card and you will have one in your hands in three days. Thanks USMC, Colt and Bud's.

True to my word I picked up another one. As nice as the first one. I will never need another 1911 again with these two to choose from. Reliable, accurate shooting firearms. Thanks again to Bud's and the great FFL network that works with them.

Not cheap by any means, but this Colt is exceptional. Wonderful trigger, feels like a custom job, but it's not - it's a service pistol. Clean break, minimal creep. The Cerakote finish is flawless out of the box, and looks to be very thick and hard. The slide to frame fit is VERY nice and tight, but does not bind. The barrel to bushing fit is perfect. The pistol controls include the 'speed bump' beaver tail, mag. release cut-out in the grip and the ambi-safety - very nice indeed. The grip is easy to hold, and feels secure in the hand. The Colt feels extremely solid, although a tad heavier than some other pistols in this class. But, then again it's a weapon built for serious use. No failures of any kind at this point. PLUS - Wilson Combat mags... 2 of them. This Colt is sweet, gentleman. I highly recommend it. Oh, and as usual BUDS is great, but you know that.

Awesome 1911!!! This is the 7th 1911 I've owned and I currently own 6 to include a SA MC Operator. This is not the green pelican case custom shop version. This is the blue box production line version that is issued to MARSOC Marines with the M45A1 rollmark in lieu of the USMC rollmark. It comes with 2 black 7 round Wilson Combat mags. I've not seen in person the custom shop version of this gun and I can't imagine it being any better. If you want the closest gun to the real issue one get the Colt 01970M45...you won't regret it. BTW Buds Gun Shop rocks!

What an impressive pistol!!! Don't confuse this model with the M45A1 CQBP (issued to the Marines) that goes through Colt's custom shop and arrives in a pelican case with 3-Wilson Combat mag's, Otis cleaning kit and shot target. This model O1070M45 CQBO(for civilians) comes off Colt's standard production line in a standard case with 2-mag's. But this is absolutely the finest made 1911 I have. It came Q-Tip clean, tight but not too tight, ready for the range. With the night sights, 40-oz weight, double recoil spring system, low recoil, it's accuracy will make anybody a good shot. Glad I bought it. Thanks again Bud's!!! Great job.
