High performance bullets. Each powder is matched to load for optimum pressure velocity and consistency. Much of the brass is made by Hornady, the rest carefully selected for reliable feeding, corrosion resistance, hardness and the ability to withstand maximum chamber pressures. Primers are chosen for their ability to quickly and consistently ignite the entire powder charge and are carefully matched to the load.

Great ammo.
I built a custom 6.8 on a AR platform using a AR Performance 16" barrel & bcg and this combination gives me moa to sub moa if I do my part.
I used this round for whitetail season last year here in Northern MN and harvested a very nice 205# 8pt. with a thick rack. It was an easy 70yrd shot andt and the buck ran 30yrds and was down. Upon gutting and skinning I was impressed on how devastating this round was. I had complete pass thru and did not see any bullet fragments even with it hitting rib bones going in and out. Not to say there weren't any, I just did not find any.
I would highly recommend this ammo.

Easily the best hog and deer round you can buy from the factory. Never had a problem with a single bullet and the accuracy/percision is ridiculous for a 6.8 hunting round.

Nothing else shoots as accurate and is as lethal for a factory round when killing deer or hogs. Value is outstanding and accuracy is superb.

Very accurate ammo, easily shoots sub MOA from my 12.5" and 16" barrels. I get about 2415 fps from a 12.5" nitride barrel at 71 degrees F, 2490 fps from a 16". Shot a nice doe with it a couple weeks ago, bullet expanded quite well on entry as shown by the damage to the ribs. Exit wound on the other side was substantial as well. Good double lung shot, she went about 50 yards before dropping. No sign of bullet break up. I've had excellent luck with the Hornady SSTs in various calibers.

I tried this Hornady SST 120gr while sesrching for an accurate factory round for my rifle - a Barrett Rec 7 6.8 SPCII DI, 18" , 1 in 10 twist. I tried 11 types of factory loads over several months time, under as consistent conditions as possible (no wind, clean barrel fouled slightly with 10 shots before accuracy tests, same hard hold, bench rest with bags front and rear, etc.). This round consistently shot at or very near the top in accuracy (1 MOA or better) during each session - it was neck and neck with the Barrett 6.8 110gr load, but considerably less expensive, and more versatile in that it is (from what many others have noted) an excellent hunting round. I don't hunt at this time, but if I got an invitation to visit Texas for some hog or other hunting, this round is certainly going into my bag. Every gun/barrel/ammo combination is unique, and this round may or may not deliver the same accuracy in their rifles, but it certainly worked excellent in mine. The SST 120gr bullet is apparently a favorite with many reloaders as well for its high B.C. and terminal effects on game. I can only say that the high B.C. and higher weight is probably a factor in its apparent accuracy in my rifle (out to 300 yards, the limit at my range). Given the reasonable price, I would certainly give 2 or 3 boxes try to see how it works for you. Btw, buying from Buds has always been a great and money saving experience - I'm certainly a fan of them as well. Happy shooting!
