This was my first scout rifle and I enjoy it immensely. The adjustable length of pull is fantastic, this really helps in making the gun fit and having the correct sight picture with a scout scope. I have a good supply of Federal American Eagle 55 gr. FMJ and can reliably shoot 2" groups at 100 yards and that shrinks a bit when I shoot 55 gr. Blitz King predator ammo.

After tiring of burning through amp in my AR15, I bought the .223 Scout rifle from Buds. Great service and a fantastic rifle. The ammo lasts a lot longer and with the Vortex scope I put on it, it is a blast to shoot. It makes a nice mate for the .308 Gunsite Scout Rifle I already had in the gun safe.

Just returned from the range this afternoon (01/07/2020). I shot this new Ruger Gunsite rifle, along with another Scout rifle and an AR style rifle. This firearm is spot on....easily sighted on with the open sights, which I prefer on this style of firearm. The other rifle was not as easy to sight in (iron sights) and I fired approximately 40 rounds with some difficulty getting it to come close to zero @ 50 yards......So I do prefer the Ruger over the other manufacturer's scout style rifle, although the calibers are different (.223 vs. .308). And the price can't be beat either!!! Thanks to Buds Gun Shop!!!!

Fit and finish are excellent. I've been looking to get this rifle a long time and Buds gave me the best price. The gun cycles well - smooth bolt action. I'm not using a scope but easy to target and good groupings. Magazine is easy to insert and I had no hang-ups. Also, easy maintenance and care. Only negative for me is the unavailability of a 5 round magazine but still checking other sources.

This is a fantastic rifle. Fun to shoot, easy to clean, and one of the nicest looking in my stash. The magazine it comes with is a little too big, so do yourself a favor and but the ruger polymer 10 rd mag. Lower profile and just looks better. The ghost ring sights are superb, although I had to paint the front blade to increase view-ability. I will be purchasing the .308 version at some point. Team Buds was an absolute steal on this one. Thanks!

2nd one in 5.56 caliber and it is same as first one... Sub MOA with hand loads. It is ruggedly built with nice styling as an added bonus. Also have one in 308 and 6.5 Creedmoor... Just waiting for Ruger to come out with 7.63 x 39 or 6.5 Grendel and that would be even better... Also, on other rifles that I have owned from Ruger, if there was a glitch of some sort, the customer service received from them was well above average. Think I have said enough...
