The classically-styled Mossberg Patriot looks great on the gun rack and feels great when shouldered. It has the patented LBA trigger and spiral-fluted bolts with knurl pattern ensure smooth, comfortable and reliable cycling. It has a 22" barrel with recessed crown to ensure accuracy and durability.
This model comes chambered in 30-06 Springfield, has a synthetic stock, dropbox magazine, and a 3-9x40mm scope.

Worked out great. First hunting rifle I ever bought. Has a kick to it but it is accurate and not too heavy to pack around.

This is actually the second Mossberg Patriot I have purchased, both in 30-06 caliber. Both came with the 3 x 9 scope attached. Sighting this gun in took 5 rounds. Accuracy of both with factory ammo is as good as any bolt action rifle I've owned. I consistently get 100 yard 5 shot groups of an inch and a half and 50 yard groups less than an inch with Remington Core Lokt 150 gr. Pointed Soft Points. When zeroed in at 50 yards, it shoots to the same point of aim at 100 yards. Will use this for hog hunting in a couple of months. Haven't taken any game with it yet.
