500 rounds through so far, using Aguila super maxim and CCI mini mags with only one miss fire.
The gun looks great as is, but have already replaced the grips with black ivory grips and gold screws.
The pistol feels very substantial in your hand and like many others have said. A great way to get into the operational characteristics of a 1911, but at a lower caliber. I Plan on upgrading some of the internal parts soon, but for now, plan on putting at least another 500 rounds through the pistol first.
Cant say enough about Buds and their service.
Put on layaway and paid off in two weeks. Pistol arrived at my local FFL shop several days later.!
Thanks Buds!
Want to give Buds Gun shop a thumbs up. smooth transaction, very accurate and helpful. They have a new customer, will buy again from them.

A:Hi Walter, unfortunately that is correct. The receiver body of the pistol is cast Zinc #Z410 (Zamak), which does not meet the melting point laws.
Prohibited: Any handgun having a barrel, slide, frame or receiver that has a die casting of zinc
alloy or any other non-homogenous metal, which will melt or deform at a temperature of 800
degrees F or less.

A:Bryan, yes the sights are adjustable, but in the traditional sense. The rear sight can be slid back and forth in its dovetail after loosening the set screw that holds it in place to adjust for windage.See 2 more answers |
Elevation is a different story. The pistol, along with the instruction manual and cleaning and disassembly tools, comes with two spare front sight blades of different heights to change elevation. Loosen the set screw on the front sight and slide it out of the dovetail.

A:Dave, some manufacturers have a bad habit of using loctite or something similar. The best way to remove it would be to heat the cap. You can use a blow-dryer or something similar but the best and funnest way to heat the barrel is load up a couple magazines and shoot them as fast as you can/mag dump. Then try removing the cap. You can also contact the manufacturer at 1-800-290-0065 Option 3 or email them at customerservice@americantactical.us hope this helps.See 1 more answer | -
