Great gun! There’s a big difference in felt recoil when you step up from 38 specials to 357’s but still manageable. Lots of fun and simply beautiful. I love the weight and it feels pretty balanced. (I hate scrubbing that cylinder afterwards though…🤣)

Absolutely beautiful firearm. Very well made. One of my favorite SAA revolvers.

It's pretty but problematic.
Don't get me wrong, I really like this revolver, but when you compare it to the Cimarron Model P, which is roughly the same price, this gun has some disadvantages. For one, the mainspring is a bit week. This means it's like butter to cock, but it will light strike on the .357's. I don't know why, but it's only the .357's, never .38's. It's also not every shot with .357, but somewhere between 20-40% of shots.
The nickel finish is beautiful, and the main reason I purchased the gun.
The trigger, however, is noticeably heavier than the Model P's trigger. I don't have a trigger gauge, but it's heavier than you'd want on a single action.
I don't know if this is a plus or minus, but for some reason the ejector rod spring is quite a bit heavier on the Pistolero than on the Model P. It's not so heavy that it's hard to operate, just noticeable.
Also the basepin button is pretty stiff and hurts the thumb to hold it down. On my Model P, it is very easy to push down the release with ease.
This is not a bad gun, BUT if I'd strongly recommend getting the Model P over the Pistolero, as you're paying about the same price, but getting a much finer gun at the end of the day.
As a side note, there are 4 distinct clicks in the action when cocking the hammer on this gun. They are not evenly spaced apart, it's more like 1... 2... 34, but they're definitely there, which I cannot say for the Model P

An excellent Colt single action pistol. Heavier than I was expecting, very solid straight shooter. Very happy with this cowboy replica 357/38 😎🔫

So far I'm very happy with this handgun. Shipping was faster than I expected. This pistol shoots to poa, functions very well, and looks great. This was my first purchase of a Pietta Colt replica, and I'm extremely happy with this gun. I've only shot the .38 Special through it so far, but the kick is mild and the gun is accurate. Thanks Pietta and Buds Guns!
