What is the most significant difference in a S&W M&P9 or 40 M2.0 <> and <> the S&W Shield M2.0 models ?? Thanks in advance for any answers. I am trying to learn more.

Tony, the M&P shield is the compact version of the M&P9. The shield uses a single stack 7 round magazine and the barrels longer, the M&P9 uses a double stack 17 round magazine with a longer barrel. Thats the main difference is size. If you want something small for concealed carry I would go with the shield. For target practice or home defense I would go with the larger M&P9. Hope this helps.

Has anybody appendix carried this pistol? How comfortable is it?

Michael, yes, this Single stack Shield can be appendix carried however, the shorter barreled version would be even more comfortable. Cheers and stay safe!

I personally have not but I carry a similar sized sig p365 xl and yes you can appendix carry this comfortably. Hope this helps.

Yes, this is a single stack. Height 5.125 inches, length 7 inches and weight 20.9 Ozs. For some reason smith and Wesson does not post the width anywhere so you would have to contact them to find out. Hope this helps.

Joshua, no Sir. The Slide is not milled for Optics Mounting Plates. Just has a Green Fiber Optic Front Sight and Red Fiber Optic Rear Sights.

The S@W shield that I purchased, is everything I hoped that it would be. I have ran 200 to 250 rounds of 6 or 7 different types of ammo of all weights 115,124 to 147gr. with no malfunctions of any kind. It absolutely works every time. Best groups so far under 2in at 7 yds. I believe will do better if I do my part. If you are considering a shield, I recommend the 2.0 version, and The Performance Center custom work is worth every penny. 100 percent happy with Bud's service, and shipping and delivery were fast and simple. Do not hesitate to use Bud's. Recommend 100%. Best price, excellent service.
