• Q: This particular model does appear to be on the mass compliant list. Just wondering if I’m correctly reading it. Any guidance would be much appreciated. I do not see it listed on buds mass list.

• Q: I noticed in the description that it comes with a fiber optic front sight but only a dove tail rear. This is odd. Why wouldn't it come with the full set, front and rear? In addition, am I able to purchase just the rear to go along with the front sight?

• Q: I saw a YouTube where hickok 45 had to send this weapon back for a recall. It was a roll pin in the grip zone button. Have they fixed this issue?

  Eric - "Essential" means it comes with just the essentials ... and as stated this one comes with: 1 Flush Fitting Magazine and 1 with New Mid-Mag X-Tension, 2 Interchangeable Backstraps, Lockable Case, Cable Lock, Bore Brush. The XDs "Gear" package comes with the above items, plus: Deluxe Lockable Case, Right Hand Paddle Holster and Double Mag Pouch. Bud's prices are based primarily on 'replacement cost' of buying another of the same item from the manufacturer. Here is their explanation of how their prices are set, copied directly from Buds web site: “Our website updates every 20 minutes, 24/7, with our current inventory and replacement cost. We do not price our guns manually based on our cost in each, rather we use a live download from manufacturers and distributors to set our price based on our current replacement cost. As our cost changes, the corresponding website price of each make/model will change up/down accordingly. Although our profit margin remains unchanged, our advertised prices will change frequently, sometimes several times per day.”

• Q: The trigger pull is so l g and so heavy. I would not have bought this firearm if I had known about this trigget issue.

  The main reason the trigger is long and heavy is because this is a "striker fired" action and that means there is a lot going on when you pull the trigger. Often have long take up, long over travel, heavy break weight and that "gritty feel". You can find this in most brands of striker guns Glock, Sig, S&W, Ruger. I've read that the new Rugers have made strides in trigger quality but I haven't shot one. I also know that Sigs seem to have one of the best reviewed triggers right out of the box. My APEX improved Sigs have outstanding triggers now. Look into trigger upgrades that might be available for your gun, (see APEX) … if you can't improve it trade it.
