Not classified as an SBR due to having a pistol brace instead of a basic stock. So ridiculous but it's what it is.

What kind of stock can be legally used on this UDP-9? If you can put a normal fixed stock on it, is it mil-spec or non mil-spec? I really don't know what would fit, or even know what the difference is but apparently there is one. Thanks

Hi Glenn, you can not legally put a stock without registration and $200 tax stamp. You can however, put a brace on. I believe the gun comes with the brace as pictured. Hi Glenn and welcome. The pictured Brace is legal. Adding a shoulder stock, whether fixed, folding or collaspsible would require NFA registration and a $200 Tax Stamp as it would go from a Pistol/Handgun classification to a Short Barreled Rifle (SBR). It is Mil-Spec. Cheers and happy holidays!

Unfortunately no, even if you were in the same state, the purchaser must be the same person to pick up the fire arm from the ffl. What you can do is you can purchase a gift card in the amount of the firearm and email them, or print and mail them and have your dad purchase the gun in his name. Got the gun out right after picking it up from my FFL (and after cleaning and lubricating it) and malfunctions galore! Could only fire 1 round and then nothing. Had to pull the CH and eject a round to be able to fire only 1 more round. Continued like this for the next hour and I finally gave up. Tried 3 different magazines from 3 different makers (including stock mag the gun came with) and always the same result. Tried Federal and Blazer FMJ rounds and...same result. Started doing research online and turns out this is a common problem with the UDP-9...very common.

I really appreciate the Angstadt UPD, 9mm pistol....this my second purchase of one, light, easy to use and handle. I use a Holoson green-dot sight and ready to go out of the box....field stripping and cleaning a breeze. A great, fun gun for the range and a serious home or truck gun, so compact and extremely well made, no problems!
