I was wondering if Buds will do a price match on this revolver? I found a lower price in another site. I thought I saw somewhere that they might price match.

they did price matches years ago but that all stopped with the COVID induced gun buying rush. I may come back as stock levels go up but I would not count on it. If You are comfortable ordering from the other site then order from them

Yes it seems to be the case that they don’t make the model with both rear and front sight fiber optic. I will just hold on a wait to see if maybe in the future they will again. I have the 9 shot 22lr/wmr 4.75 version with fixed sights but I wanted the rear and front fiber optic for hunting.

Understand Eric. The fiber optic sights are good for situations, like in the woods, where light might not be great. You might be able to locate a gunsmith who could install a fiber optic sight for you on the rear, if you really want.

Well I just got off the phone with buds to make sure and they said that the rear is just a black adjustable v notch and not fiber optic only the front is fiber optic. I called heritage and they said they discontinued the rear and front fiber optic model. When did you purchase yours and from where?

Eric - evidently, James G's revolver is not the same UPC/model as this one. That's a problem when the manufacturers make so many changes in such a short time, and have so many similar models.

Eric - yes sir, this gun is advertised at several vendors as having a fiber optic front sight, and notch rear sight. Can't seem to find your previous question.

When I found out that the steel framed Rough Rider could be sent to ILLinois, I found a distributor with one in stock and had it sent to my FFL.. A little more expensive, but came with the WMR cylinder.

Few options. One, you can call Buds and try to get the lower price that attracted you in the first place by calling 1-859-368-0371 (9am-9pm). Two, you can wait and watch for the price to drop again, often certain models have wild up and down swings on a regular basis. Born of the traditions of the Old West, the Rough Rider maintains much of the look and feel of the legendary Single Action Army revolver, only in a scaled down version. Chambered for the .22LR and .22 Magnum cartridges, the Rough Rider is manufactured using state-of-the-art precision machinery that assures its accuracy and reliability. The cylinder lock-up is tight and the perfect timing of the action makes for a handgun that will put its shots where you want 'em.
The machined barrel is micro-threaded and inserted into the frame for the optimal barrel/cylinder gap to give you maximum ammunition performance. A hammer block mounted in the recoil shield provides extra protection and has a red dot indicator that lets you know when the gun is ready for action. For the price this Heritage Rough Rider in my opinion is the best 22 revolver on the market, Very well made and for the price it can not be beat.. Using 22 mags I shot groups of 2 inches at 75 feet right out of the box. I would also like to give a shout out to Heritage for finally adding adjustable fiber optic sights. This is my third Heritage Rough Rider. I haven't shot this one very much, but so far, I really like it. I bought this one especially for the adjustable fiber optic sights, which are easier for me to see. I have large hands, so I made a set of over-size grips. I also installed a trigger shoe. Now it really feels good in my hands, and I think I will really enjoy shooting it when the weather warms up.

This revolver has a lot going for it. It’s amazingly priced, can fire multiple calibers, and is very accurate. With 22lr Aguila high velocity rounds I can easily get a fist sized group at 15 yards, and I’m not a very good shot. This is certainly more accurate than I am. But there are two huge drawbacks that prevent me from trusting it. The first, as many have stated, are the loose screws. For me the screw for the ejector tube was loose all the way from the factory, as it has a noticeable amount of play when i bought it at the store. Loctite did nothing and the screw came loose after every 50 rounds or so of 22lr ammo. I had to go on Heritage’s website and buy a replacement screw which seems to work, though I’m now always nervous I will fall off while I’m shooting it since it has already happened twice. The second issue is that about 25% of 22mag rounds tumble at 7 yards out of this revolver, which in my opinion renders the mag cylinder completely useless. It’s more accurate with 22lr anyway, so I just stick with that. It’s a nice shooter as long as you keep it loaded with ammo it likes and you check the screws before you go on an outing. Not decided yet if I’ll keep it or trade it for a Ruger wrangler, since the mag cylinder is the whole reason I picked this. I am slightly disappointed, but it’s not terrible either — I just want a pistol I can actually rely on, and I’m not yet convinced this is it.

This is a wonderful revolver to shoot with excellent balance and the sights make zeroing in easy. Im looking for other revolvers from Buds that match the carateristics of this one. Once again Buds had my order in my hands quickly and correctly.

This Rough Rider is fun to plink with. But I wish Heritage made the same exact revolver in an all-steel frame. I shoot this more often than I than I thought I would. I like to start shooting practice by putting a couple of cylinders of ammo through this gun first. Warming up with a single-action revolver forces me to concentrate on controlling my breathing and the flinch reflex.

I shot it a bit last weekend and am very happy with it. The fiber optic sights are very bright and even better than I was hoping for. Both of the cylinders worked great. The sights were very close and I didn't adjust them at all. The trigger is pretty good especially considering the price. No trouble with Buds as usual. Fast shipping...

Q: I was wondering if Buds will do a price match on this revolver? I found a lower price in another site. I thought I saw somewhere that they might price match.

Q: Yes it seems to be the case that they don’t make the model with both rear and front sight fiber optic. I will just hold on a wait to see if maybe in the future they will again. I have the 9 shot 22lr/wmr 4.75 version with fixed sights but I wanted the rear and front fiber optic for hunting.

Q: Can this gun be shipped to an Illinois ffl ?
