• Q: Hi, I have seen two wasr 10's for sale on the internet, one on this site with just the circle flash hider (is it removable?) the other one was on another site and the flash hider was the typical AK canted/slopped one thats removable. Can you tell me the difference in the two AK's with the flash hider differences?

• Q: I heard these days with ammo being almost 100% non corrosive that the chrome lined barrel is overrated, and not as accurate,, another major rifle site said if you clean your rifle after every shoot , there again chrome lined means nothing.. seems no matter how much i research the reviews and so called experts are very split on this. i have seen it about 50 50 , so npap which most sites agree is the more accurate gun, or the wasr10 and the debatable better barrel ?

  Chrome lining really came about to reduce barrel burn out in rapid fire firearms(specifically the throat area). The military has performed tests and chrome lined verses non chrome lined barrels averages a 1/4 inch difference in accuracy in favor of non chrome lined. in 5.56/223 and 1/2 inch in 7.62x39. The advantages of longer barrel life makes this acceptable for regular shooters but may be an issue for precision shooters. So it really boils down to how you will use the rifle and what you expect out of it accuracy wise. I am a hand loader and can tune my ammunition to my barrel characteristics. On the upbeat, every barrel has a sweet spot load that you just have to experiment a little to find.

  Both of these rifles are in fact WASR-10's. Buds just missed this in the description on the WASR listed rifle. Please note that the rifle listed as the GP WASR does not include muzzle device, bayonet lug or bayonet.

  As to my assertion, Robert Pittman from Century Arms Product Support responded to my inquiry. - Robert Pittman (Century Arms) - Oct 25, 13:00 EDT - Good morning, This firearm is made in ROMANIA and we put new US PARTS in to make it 922r compliant. -----My original question (Is the Century Product ID: RI1826-N imported from Romania or made new in the US?
