It's a very nice firearm. The action is nice and smooth and I haven't had any issues with it malfunctioning in any way as of yet. The mags are a breeze to load with the pull down tab on the side. I do like how the magazine ejection (switch) is made into the trigger guard. But, it does take some getting used to in order to operate it. Especially being so used to the eject button being on the side of other pistols. So far no complaints about it and my wife also likes it. Due to the fact that it's very easy for her to rack the slide. Her hands are rather small and a little weak. She says it's perfect and she handles it great.

I ordered this pistol and it was shipped on time. The pistol is great: it shoots well and runs smoothly. Buds was great - everything was handled efficiently and quickly. If you are in the market for a small .22 caliber pistol, Walther makes a great gun!

I bought this on sale to get better with a handgun and .22 long rifle is way cheaper than 9mm. I own other Walther pistols, and have found them to be reliable and easy to maintain. This weapon is a different animal than I am used to. Field stripping is pretty straight forward, but reassembly kicked my tail. I finally found a Youtube video that showed a trick that the manual and the Walther website failed to mention. In order to get the slide to reinstall, you have to push down on the rear of the slide to get it to catch. I strongly dislike a lack of information that should be included. Otherwise, the weapon works just fine. The sights are much, much better than my Kimber. Push down on the rear of the slide to reassemble and you should have no other issues.

Terrible experience. Tons of failures to feed, stovepipes and various other misfires. Could hardly get through a single magazine without a malfunction. Sent it back to Walther, came back just as bad or worse. I cannot recommend this firearm.

Probably the most fun handgun I own just because ammo is reasonably priced.

I have shot this gun extensively and it is not only fun but very accurate. I would not normally suggest a .22 for self defense but with this gun I feel very confident.

Great pistol for the new shooter, young or older, especially if they've never used a firearm before. Using this pistol to introduce my 12 year old son to the shooting sports. He loves it. Kickback/felt recoil is very minor as are muzzle flash and report. An important side benefit as of the date of this review is that this is a cheap gun to shoot. With the price of ammo still through the roof, 22LR is the only type that is still comparatively cheap. A 500-round brick is still "only" eighty to ninety bucks and you can shoot all day long with that many rounds. Pistol is accurate enough out to about 40 feet to make plinking fun. Shooting paper with a 22 is not the most exciting thing but plinking reactive targets is a hoot. Small complaint: This pistol does not like to load a round from an open slide. E.G. you empty the magazine, the slide locks back, eject empty mag, insert full mag and release the slide. I get a stovepipe 90% of the time. Tried different ammo, cleaning the gun spotless, ensuring lubrication, etc. Same result. Over 1000 rounds at this point and no failures to feed when loading from a closed slide. Not the cheapest .22 pistol out there, but it is a Walther, comes with swappable backstraps of different sizes, two mags and feels good in the hand. Would buy again for the purposes of training/plinking/cheap practice.

Excellent service from Buds. The pistol is my new favorite as it is fun to shoot as well as inexpensive to shoot. I have had no issues with Remington Golden Bullet or CCI. Out of 200 Aguila, I had about 4 failure to feed.

This is a great little 22 pistol, nice action and smooth trigger. My only complaint is the magazine release (it's part of the trigger guard) and that took some getting used to, but is nice for ambidextrous shooters.

This is the first handgun I’ve owned personally. I’m still getting accustomed to it and I’ve fired maybe 250-300 rounds. I purchased this bc it lends itself more toward left handed folks. My ex had a Ruger LCR9? and I hated it bc it was so right focused.

Super fast shipment to my local FFL. Flawless transaction. This little 22 is just what I was looking for to teach my Grandchildren how to shoot.

Got out to shoot this last weekend after purchase several weeks back.
Light, holds well in my hand, accurate at 30 plus yards. A fun less expensive shooter is why I purchased.
Only situation is the rounds, when changing mags, do not always charge into the receiver. More so than less.
Have had several hangups that require pulling the slide back to charge. This is the first handgun I ever had this problem with this constant issue and will contact Walther.
Even bought a new mag and same situation.
First mag goes well. When changeout the hangup occurs.
I always load, snap the spring and tap several times to be sure all rounds are aligned. Not sure what is occuring.
Prices are high now of course. Would not spend this much again but get them while you can was my thought.
This is just another, add to collection, small cal., fun handgun, for backyard plinking.

Great gun, easy to shoot. Both my wife and I can easily hold the pistol comfortable with 2 different size hands. No jams with cheap ammo through 1000 rounds. Actually amazed how true the sites are, and the pattern we both get using the the pistol. Trigger is smooth.

2 mags. looks like a Cali model. has a captured guide rod spring. Way easier takedown and reassembly than prior model.

First time ordering from Buds and I was very pleased. Very easy process and quick. The Walther P22Q is a fun little gun. I have put about 300 round through it. It very accurate and comfortable to shoot. Jamming, no more than a normal .22. The one thing that was out of the norm is that when you insert a fresh mag and use the thumb release, I will have to push the slide in to chamber the round all the way. If I pull the slide back and release it does great. Overall I really like this gun.
