Nice 22 pistol works fine with a suppressor. Well made and fun to shoot.

So far this gun has performed flawlessly. I haven't had a single misfire in probably 2000 rounds. It took a little getting used to the trigger but it is pretty straightforward good functioning good value. Would recommend and buy again.

Great little pistol. Light enough to shoot all day. Mine likes CCI SV or SK standard Plus.

I purchased this pistol using Buds Layaway program. Great program, enables me to purchase more from Buds. Thank you. Onto the S&W M&P 22 compact. I had watched so many reviews on what type of ammo to use, what FPS, what manufacturer. I brought the gun to my local range and the first ammo I tried was some 40 year old Winchester 22LR’s that were given to me. Then we ran approximately 200 CCI Blazer rounds and then finally about 150 CCI Mini Mags. I’m glad to say we had zero FTF or stove pies, jams or anything that would make me think it was anything but fantastic and fun. Great fun…

This pistol has functioned reliably since purchase and over 1000 rounds. It is not as accurate as I would like, perhaps because of the flexibility of the springs in the rear sight. I prefer the TX-22 by Taurus, but this is a decent offering.

Bud’s was one of the only source for this M&P 22 w/adapter. Their service is always good and quick. This is a nice little shooter and great for the range. S&W always has the right item at a good price point.

The S&W M&P 22 Compact is a neat little gun that holds 10 rounds in the magazine. I bought this pistol because it is smaller and half the weight (one pound) of my stainless Ruger 22 (two pounds). In addition, I wanted something lightweight, small, and capable accepting a suppressor that would fit in a pocket or back pack while hiking in the mountains. It meets all these requirements very well. Taking the pistol to the range I discovered how horrible the trigger felt to me. The trigger wraps around my finger quite a bit and feels almost like wearing part of ring (kind of weird). The trigger pull on this is not bad, the trigger breaks decently (better than a spongy Glock trigger). In short, the trigger needs getting used to. I won't not be shooting this pistol with gloves. Would recommend a complete trigger replacement, if one even exists. The light weight is not as forgiving for aiming as my two pound Ruger pistol. With one shooting session under my belt I can say that I am able to hit an 4-5 inch target at 7-10 yards with careful aim. More practice is needed to get better at shooting this one. My final opinion on this pistol is that I am glad I bought it. Of note, I did shoot one very old all metal 22LR snake shot round through this pistol, it did not eject, but easily manually ejected.

Interesting fact all models of this pistol have a "threaded barrel". Non suppressor ready barrels have a threaded end on the barrel with a thread protector, which is all hidden inside the receiver. The "suppressor" ready version has an adaptor that is male on one end for the suppressor and female to attach to the barrel. To convert a non suppressor ready barrel to a suppressor ready you will need to unscrew the thread protector and add the adapter kit:
"M&P22 Compact Sound Suppressor Adapter Kit Contains: adapter, installation tools, thread protector" ($27-$35)

Bud's had the best price on this pistol that I could find at the time, and even during all the Corona business, the pistol arrived at my dealer in a total of four days or so. Kudos to Bud's, as usual.
I am very pleased with the pistol itself. Fit and finish were flawless, as was function. Test fired it with 70 rounds of bulk Federal HV hollowpoints, which it ate up without issue, and was plenty accurate, especially for a small-ish .22 pistol. The real test was with subsonic ammo, both Winchester and Sellier and Bellot, with a Gemtech suppressor mounted. Both functioned perfectly, and again plenty accurate. I recommend this pistol, if you need a handy pistol for your suppressor, cheaper training for your M&P, or just fun shooting.
Still wish Bud's would go back to their older website, because the current one is a pain to use to put it nicely.

This is the third .22 pistol/revolver that I have purchased. While I initially considered the Ruger SR 22, I went with the M&P 22c after testing both guns on the range. While it may have been more related to how the guns were maintained, I found the M&P 22c to be more reliable with little to no malfunctions, though I did like the decocker in the Ruger. I do appreciate the ergonomics of the M&P 22c and the fact that it resembled other M&P pistols in terms of controls. I am not a fan of the sights and am now replacing the rear sites with a red dot optic. The gun is not nearly as accurate as my Mark IV, but this may improve somewhat with the new optics. I have not yet put a suppressor on it, but am looking forward to being able to shoot the come at home without bothering the neighbors. My major complaint, and those of others, has to do with the need to remove the barrel thread adapter in order to remove the slide. This was incredibly difficult the first time. (Major hint: Put the gun in a plastic bag and place it in the freezer for an hour. Once we did that, the adapter finally came off, but even then with some effort). Not, too crazy about the trigger, but it may be me getting used to it. I do like the Cerakote finish, we'll see how it holds up with use. No plans to use it for anything but plinking and varmint removal.

Accurate, fun, cheap to shoot, comfortable grip, & super easy to clean. This is the perfect pistol for plinking, target practice, practicing quick target acquisition, and it is suppressor ready. Everyone with suppressors knows that a .22 is the most fun suppressor gun (and most affordable suppressors).

Good little gun for plinking. There is a wrench you need to take the barrel off and it is a pain in the butt to try to do without the wrench. Normal wrenches are to wide to fit in the grooves.

Fired gun right out of the box and it did jam a few times using Remington 36 grain hollow points. After cleaning and lubricating I haven’t had any issues with it. Buds, as always, was fast and reliable.

No Recoil, Great for Teaching new shooters. Comfortable ergo's, Cheap to shoot. Not one hiccup it's first outing. 300 rounds No issues. And it's Suppressor ready. What more can I say. Great buy.

This is a fun little 22. I love the suppressor ready threaded barrel. Its a great buy and fun to shoot. It has been a great trainer gun to introduce and teach new shooters to proper handgun basics and handling.

This pistol is absolutely amazing. I've fired almost every brand of 22 ammo I can find through this. Everything from CCI mini mags to cheap bulk ammo, and not a single hang up or miss fire. Great accuracy, and reliability make this a real treat to take plinking.

A .22 M&P. Did not know it existed. Found it just browsing Buds last week. Had to have this for the collection. Solid feel, perfect F&F. Adjustable sights and ambi safety! Two tone scheme with FDE lower and black slide is very nice indeed. Threaded barrel is a nice added touch. Added xtra mags, a compensator and a TruGlow green laser in same order. A fun and inexpensive firearm for the range. Perfect for small intruders where my .40 M&P would be overkill. As always S&W did not disappoint. Quality is obvious. Buds is awesome. They are my only online source for firearms, ammo & accessories. No one matches their selection, prices or service. Another no regrets purchase. Thanks Buds!

This gun is everything I thought it would be. Fun and reliable. I've shot approximately 180 rounds through in a few days and it is a great gun. My wife can even use it easily . Great product. And Bud's was once again quick on shipping it. Thanks!!

Nice little 22 that is accurate and not picky about ammo. Like others I did have trouble getting the adapter off the end of the barrel. It was entirely too tight and I broke the supplied wrench the first time I tried to remove it.

Accurate and reliable after 300 rounds. Only grip is, its a nuisance to take off the suppressor adapter when its time to clean. I should've bought the regular which is around $50 less.

Great gun, flawless operation as fast as you can pull the trigger. 100 rounds first time out and no FTF or FTE. AS always, super service from BUDS.

Satisfied with Bud's service. Hickok45 deserves a "YUGE" thank you from Bud's. The M&P22 is a fun gun. Plan on calling for a replacement of the dinky wrench included to take the thread protector off the threaded barrel. It was screwed on at the factory by someone named Hercules :)
