Beautiful revolver. Smith and Wesson's are just a classic revolver. Wood grips are very nice. I wanted a 686 and decided to get this model. I am glad I purchased it.

Smith&wesson revolvers, the 686 Plus Deluxe 6" 357 mag is of wonderful fit, finish is not as good as the Colt Stainless Revolvers, but the weight and build are as good as any. The sweet wood grips make this Revolver complete. Buds the one place to shop. Thank you.

Put a scope on it and use it for deer hunting. Very accurate but I had to put some practice into it.

For some reason I have gotten an interest in revolvers lately. A few months ago I purchased I Ruger Wrangler from Buds and am very pleased. I have been wanting a Smith and Wesson revolver for some time. We had them when I started my law enforcement career in 1989. We went to Glocks sometime after that but always had a fondness for revolvers. So I decided to treat myself. I joined team buds and also became one of their qualified professionals. I populated my wish list and this was one of the guns I was waiting to become available. I went all out and got the 686 plus deluxe. The gun arrived at my dealer in 3 days. I am very pleased. I came close to buying the Taurus, the Ruger and even the Kimber but Smith and Wesson is the gold standard of revolvers. It is a beautiful weapon and will stay in my family and be passed down to my son one day. I look forward to shooting it when ammunition becomes more readily available. I have some wadcutters I will try it out with but am still waiting for my .357 magnum and .38spl +P rounds to ship. I have been pleased with Buds customer service and communication so far. This is a beautiful well made gun.

What's to say about this totally badass piece that hasn't already been said?

Well, all I can say is that this gun is an absolute beauty. Period! I am sure this revolver will be in my family for generations.

What a great revolver. Beautiful hold and fun to shoot. It has the weight to amost cancel recoil. This one will hold it's value over time. A keeper for sure.

Great value for an excellent shooting revolver. I like the looks and feel on the wood grips. I only use this for target shooting so I opted for the six inch barrel. The finish is nice and the trigger in single action is very smooth and light. With my old eyes, I find the sights adequate for my needs.

Gun was exactly as described . I went to the range and put the first 100 rounds through it , 50 38 special and 50 357 magnum . The gun performed flawlessly . I am sure I will pass this gun on to my children when the time comes .

I recently purchased a Smith & Wesson 686 + 357 magnum stainless steel , 7 round , 6 inch barrel , with the famous Smith & Wesson wooden grips as a side arm back up for wild boar 🐗 hunting in Florida . The pistol arrived ahead of schedule during the holidays in brand new factory condition without any flaws in a blue carry box from the factory . Very beautiful revolver that shot smoothly with the standard hollow point 357 magnum self defense Remington rounds . A very versatile revolver you can use 38 special , 38 +, 38 double plus , all 357 magnum rounds including special 200 grain hunting rounds that will drop a grizzly bear , mountain lion , or a charging boar . It is a heavy L frame that can handle the hunting loads with no problem , very accurate with the 6 in barrel , The revolver handles the self defense 357 hollow point rounds with a little kick and the double action is very smooth , also has adjustable sights the keys for adjusting come inside the carry box . If your a collector or need a good side arm for hunting I would highly recommend this revolver . There was a reason General Patton bought and used a Smith & Wesson pistol as a side arm the Smith & Wesson is very reliable and accurate American made revolvers . My opinion they are the best revolvers in the world . I would recommend Buds for your fire Arms they are priced the best and deliver to an FFL of your choice in a short amount of time . I've had this gun for almost a year now and I really like it. No issues with it and it shoots true. Things I've noticed, it seems to recoil more than my ruger gp100, the casings do not eject that great-literally have to help all 7 out-, and it doesn't seem as easy to point and shoot if that makes sense. I think it's a very good looking revolver with the same feel as my model 19 s&w just heavier. The wood is kinda dark compared to my 629 but it's still good looking. Over all it's an attractive revolver that works.

This gun is truly incredible. I took it to the range the other day and I think this gun is my favorite of all that i own. Shoots like a dream with 38s. 357 has some kick obviously but alot smoother than other 357s ive shot (non Smiths). The guns appearance is so smooth and sleek and will be an excellent part of my collection.

Everything I expected and more, now to buy the 629 44 magnum to match. Buds as always is excellent to deal with.

Gun is beautiful. However due to cost of ammo I sold it before I even shot it. Buds was awesome but can’t give fair review because I never fired the weapon

I recently purchased this firearm from this site as it was about $100 cheaper than my local Cabellas, I also liked the wooden grip. The gun arrived at a local gun-store within 4 days and it was well-communicated all the way to the store pickup (which is really easy in Indiana with your CCW). The gun itself looks beautiful and the trigger is a delight. I have a Ruger SP101 for conceal carry and the double-action trigger is not so smooth, I was pleasantly surprised with this trigger setup on my 686, and the ability to easily stage your shot. The wooden grip works great for me as I have medium to large hands, I imagine that for someone with smaller hands, they might not be a fan of this grip. The gun easily tames the 357's and with 38's it feels like you're shooting nothing at all, I've wanted this gun for a while and it's everything I was hoping it would be. This is the last revolver I will ever need to purchase. The accuracy is great with the 6 in barrel and adjustable sights, I also really like the fact that it holds 7 rounds. Do your own research of course, but for what it's worth this is the best gun I've ever purchased, and I couldn't be happier with the price or the service. Adam
