Chunky, but works well. No issues, but grip safety might not be your thing.

I don't know why they stopped making this gun, it was a well made gun. Now they only sell the single stack version which holds less and that's depressing. I should have bought 2 when I first got this gun. Lesson learned.

Great double stack subcompact! While thinner guns have come out since purchasing this, I am still very please with this purchase. Fits well in the hand and is pretty accurate for a 3" barrel!

Really enjoy how the Springfield handles, shoots and easy to maintain. Only suggestion I would make is to not make the slide so heavy to retract on the pullback when opening. Would like to hear if their is any suggestions on improving it. Thank you.

This gun has been my everyday carry for some time. It carries well and shoots even better. Trigger is crisp and smooth. This gun is a tack driver.

Accurate and comfortable, even with the smaller mag. I have these in both 9MM and .45 and have had no issues with either.

I have had the Springfield XD9 Mod.2 for about 2 years now. With right about 2,000 rounds through it, I have had no malfunctions whatsoever. The grip texturing provided, the "Grip Zone", is pretty nice but, I still threw a Talon Grip on it because the rubber grip feels better to me. That is the only thing I have really done to the pistol (this far). I do plan to get a better drop-in trigger for it, not saying the trigger is terrible. It is average at best though. The only other thing I plan to change is the sights. I've been wanting to do this for awhile, but I was trying to keep it stock until I reached 2,000 rounds. Speaking to the no malfunctions comment, I have not run steel cased ammo through it, it's been all brass. It has eaten every brand I ran through her, so I don't imagine it'll have any trouble with steel. Fired with slightly too much oil, fired it dry as a bone, ran either way. I can honestly recommend this gun, I love a gun that doesn't malfunction! My only thing is that I wish Springfield would have strengthened up the polymer at the muzzle end of the frame. Sides aren't terribly flexible but, it would be nice. That said...it's a great gun, a good looking gun, and I trust it to protect myself and others when/if it's ever needed. Great job, Springfield! This was also my first purchase from BUDS, shipped in a week from my last payment (90 days). Pistol came with what it should have and in NEW condition, as it should have. A to everyone at BUDS.

This is a wonderful pistol, and a good ccw. I alternate between this and a Glock... well worth it. Very accurate, low recoil IMHO. Great price

I've owned a couple XD models and this Mod 2 is carrying on the legacy. Nice grips, shoots true. Love the fiber optic front sight. No fails after several hundred rounds,great pistol great buy.

This is my first pistol purchase and everything about it exceeded my expectations. I've handled a few pistols in my short time and this by far is the most comfortable and secure. Not a lot of muzzle flip and the sights were spot on out of the box. This gun made makes me look like an expert shot. Buds and my FFL were top notch in service. Thanks for a great experience.

A lot of firepower in a small package. I bought this XDG to fit in my carry rotation and it doesn't disappoint. The trigger was better than I expected, the front fiber optic sight gets you on target fast and accuracy is very good. The fact that you have 13+1 or 16+1 rounds in such a small pistol is a huge plus. I liked it so much I just ordered the .45 acp version. Bud's did it's usual great job in getting this pistol to me in great shape and as described.

Great gun, zero problems after 500 or so rounds and straightforward to maintain. The fiber optic sights are good, I would buy this gun again.
