HUGE 45-70. The brass is a little rough, some press marks, kinda expected it to be extra beautiful at this price but hey, it's got a Cowboy right on the box !!

This ammo worked well in my Henry lever action rifle. No feeding or extraction problems. It is just hot enough to know you are shooting a 45-70. Accuracy at 100 yards was very acceptable.

Awesome cartridge. Great price. Not one issue in my Henry 45-70.

Definitely a little dirtier than others but haven’t had a single issue after 100 rounds.

Fun round to fire. Pretty much duplicates the ballistics of the buffalo rifles of the old West. This load should be just fine for deer out to about 150 yards and if I decide to hunt something that bites, I can always load the hot stuff.

I found Buds Guns to be easy to navigate and order from. The ammo (HSM 45-70 405 RNFP) was exactly what I wanted. Although it did kick like the devil out of my reproduction trapdoor rifle! Its performance was spot on!

I offer this review for your information ONLY! I have fired three of these rounds to compare to the Hornady .45-70 325 gr FTX Lever Revolution. I was trying to sight in and find a consistent round for my specific firearm. My firearm was a Marlin 1895GS (circa 1999-2001). After sighting in with the Hornady at 75yds, I fired three of these rounds to compare results. These were 405gr LRNose, and at 75 yards hit approx eight inches below the Hornady. This is neither good nor bad but just the results of a different round with different characteristics.

Flawless performance in my Browning 1886, feeding, ejection, accurate, hits a bit harder than Remington factory 405. Excellent mfg., will order more.
