It's an incredible firearm. A true hand cannon. Impractical (you can get some great .358 Mags for half the price), but gorgeous and for people like me who have always wanted one and don't mind paying the premium... It's WELL worth it. Buds is always easy to deal with and always delivers products quickly. That part goes without saying.

I've wanted a Python for a very long time. The Python must be held to truly appreciate its beauty. Pictures do not do this masterpiece of craftsmanship justice. You could buy any number of very nice wheel guns for much less than this one, but none would have the same feel as this magnificent Colt 6 shooter. The revolver arrived at my FFL in absolutely pristine and factory new condition, as every firearm I've ever purchased from Bud's has been. Bud's prices and fast, free shipping cannot be beat by any online firearms retailer.

Gorgeous design, the action is so buttery smooth and all the machining is amazingly precise. I have tried one other revolver, an older smith. That one was nice but there's a noticeable difference in how perfectly everything feels like it fits together on the Python. Yes, the difference practicality-wise may not be different to other comparable and cheaper revolvers. However, if you like the look of the Python and it's within your budget, you won't regret it.

I took 5 weapons to the indoor shooting range on January 3, 2026. Out of all of them only one of them was a revolver. Gotta say shooting a Colt Python 6” stainless steel 357 Magnum was way more fun than shooting. Both of my semi auto pistols 9mm gold cup national match and 45 ACP both are Colt 1911. There is something about the fine quality of a Colt revolver that I can’t explain but it’s my go to weapon now. 🇺🇸

I was looking to buy a colt 357 or the 44 magnum. At 79 years old I wasn’t sure whether that I could handle the 44 magnum. I decided on this 357 because I knew I can handle it and then I want her to leave my son a quality firearm. The workmanship on this cold is nothing but beautiful. I’ve only shot 100 rounds but it works flawlessly. I would recommend this gun to anyone.

The Colt Python lives up to the hype! Feels great in hand and shoots flawlessly. Very light recoil shooting .38 Special rounds. Slightly more punch with the .357 loads. Beautiful gun! Going to kill an alligator with it and get a holster made!
