Bought both of these kit guns this 44 and the 8 shot 357 nice guns. Have not shot a lot but did make a few changes swapped out the front sights for fiber optic pipes and changed the stocks for houge rubber stocks. The boot grips look nice but that 44 sunb will get your grip on best hold on tight. If there in stock better get one or both nice camper guns.

Great small hand cannon. Ruger probability best or strongest produced handguns in todays market. Buds still the best internet provider.

Purchased this gun because of other friends that purchased one, and said it was a great gun. I am totally happy with the quality, accuracy, smooth action of this gun. It's a good looking gun also. The 44 specials are good for target practicing, much easier on my wrist. I use 44 mags for carrying when in the remote mountains. No automatic jams. Nice that it's stainless, no rust worries.

This thing is a beast that kicks like a mule. It's what I expected but will recommend that you plan to replace the grips if you want to shoot full magnum loads. The included grips have no texture and would be very slippery with sweaty hands. This gun is built like a tank and I feel secure running the hottest of the hot loads through it. The out of the box trigger pull is heavy at more than 12 lbs for DA and 6 lbs for SA. I'm going to look into a spring kit to reduce that slightly. I'm hoping that the action will smooth up slightly with the new springs and a few hundred rounds through the gun. One downside to the Redhawk is that there are less aftermarket grips and other upgrades available compared to a S&W. Consider this if you like to customize. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It's going to take some aftermarket parts to get the gun where I want it but I think it will be a good shooter with minimal changes.

Let me first tell you that bud's service was great. This is a very large and well made revolver. Trigger is not bad and recoil is very manageable even with 44 magnum rounds. Shooting 44 special is so awesome with this gun

Purchased via layaway and Bud's was awesome as usual. The gun came in great shape and was accurate out of the box with no sight adjustment necessary. Shot everything from low powered 44 special wad-cutters to the most heavy/powerful Buffalo Bore, Underwood and Garrett loads. Shooting the 44 specials was easy as pie, but LOOKOUT! Those hot 44 MAGNUM rounds are nothing nice, lol! Hint, wear gloves, utilize quality hearing protection and brace yourself. Surprisingly, everything was accurate, even the hot ones. Other side notes: The revolver passed my initial inspection at my FFL, but upon closer inspection I discovered a small crack on left side of the wooden grip that Ruger's excellent customer service immediately replaced. Also discovered a minute imperfection on the right side of barrel that was not properly rounded. A little elbow grease and polishing fixed that quick. Overall great limited run TALO Redhawk!
