The CA7 is an outstanding firearm from Franklin Armory. It's an exceptionally well made and accurate AR pistol designed for the California market. The CA7 has a quick release magazine, not a fixed magazine, which California requires on AR's that have a pistol grip, flash suppressor, etc. Although it's a single-shot firearm that requires the charging handle to be pulled to the rear after each shot, I actually like this feature, and it's fun to shoot! I mounted iron sights (Magpul MBUS-3) on the front and back of the firearm's Picatinny rail and, after zeroing the sights, I shot it at the range with great results. A special thanks to Buds, too, for excellent service. I ordered the firearm on a Friday and it arrived at my local FFL in California in just a few days. Can't beat that!

This CA-7 is absolutely fantastic; once converted to semi-auto of course. It comes with an awesome hard case. Shoots like a dream, really fun.

-Franklin Armory CA-7 is the best route to getting an AR pistol in CA. This pistol has no gas system so it functions as a single shot bolt action, i removed the upper and replaced it with an 11.5" barrel upper assembly. With an 11.5" barrel and a strike industries shorty buffer tube and the right size muzzle brake. The pistol remains under 26" keeping it classified as a pistol, also i put a mag lock system on mine so I can put all the dangerous accessories on it.
-Functions flawlessly ran around 300 rounds through it and the only complaint is that the shorter barrel gets pretty warm after 100 rounds.
-The 7" barrel is very loud if you plan on keeping it as is.
-Great AR pistol, great price for Californians who cant get anything cool.

Just pick it up but it seems to be a Very high quality upper and lower they match up nicely, also comes with a screw to tighten the fit of the lower to the upper . Overall it looks like its a very well built ar pistol the rail is very comfortable when holding it in hand. For $800 after price match i think its a very nice deal for what you get.
