A:Gerald, this will work fine with reloads. Revolvers don't jam like semi automatics, so this will work fine with handloads or any other 9mm ammo. As for issues I have not heard of any major issues. From reviews people seem to really like this revolver. Hope this helps.See 1 more answer | -

A:Ted, not +P+ Sir but. Charter Arms says Yes they can handle +P but we do not recommend it for the following reasons: +P ammo requires a four-inch minimum barrel to burn the extra powder. Therefore, in a two-inch barrel the extra powder is burned after the bullet leaves the barrel creating more recoil and making it harder to come back to target. We recommend a standard velocity load and when you load for protection, use a jacketed or hollow point in the same grain you practice with. -

A:Matthew, no it does not Sir. The Charter Arms Pitbull uses a unique rimless cartridge extractor assembly to permit the use of rimless 9mm ammo without the use of moon clips. A dual coil spring assembly allows inserting and retention of a 9mm cartridge in each chamber, and they are easily ejected after firing. -
