Ultimately the answer is the same, it is not allowed in your state, but not for the heavy barrel reason they gave. The reason its not allowed in Mass is that Mass has a specific "named assault rifles" list that they ban across the board, including "Colt AR-15 and copies". Hi John and welcome. This model has a Twist Rate of 1:8" inches. Upgraded 5R rifling - 5R reduces projectile deformation as it passes through the bore during the firing sequence. By placing the lands opposite of the grooves, the bullets are no longer squeezed on opposite sides ensuring the projectile stays uniform instead of squeezing material into the grooves.
