This is my daily carry. wouldn't change a thing

Great pistol but beware. Mine had number 23 etched into the barrel a very early model. I’m not even sure if they have corrected this in the new ones made but check the guide rod when you first get it. It’s full length if it is not beveled call springfield. If you shoot it before this the guide rod slams into the barrel link and link pillars damaging them. I found out about this by a youtuber after only putting about 100 rounds through it and then saw the damage. Wasn’t major but it started chewing up the barrel link just enough that it wasn’t free anymore. Also they had to remachine my slide because it was too tight for the bushing and it kept getting stuck. I could not take down the pistol. I had to use a rubber mallet to tap the guide rod out together with the bushing and spring. I’m sure that was just my weapon.
But the guide rod damaging the barrel seems to be the main consistent issue. I called springfield their customer service is excellent. Within two weeks had my pistol back with new barrel new guid rod that was beveled and had a perfect fit to the barrel and they remachined the inside of my slide for the bushing to slide smooth. Picked this up today from my FFL and was very impressed with the mechanics. Lockup is tight and slide to frame fit is also tight with smooth cycling. I guess I haven't purchased a Springfield in a while as the Armory Kote is different than on my other TRP. Very similar, to me that is, to a Parkerized finish in a dark matte finish. Either way doesn't matter as it shot great.

Well let me say that I'm thoroughly pleased with the Springfield TRP. Beautiful gun! Everything I expected,fit and finish are very nice. As for the experience with Buds, I don't have a bad thing to say. Everything was easy,the 2 times I spoke on the phone with a salesperson prior to shipment, they were very helpful and knowledgable. If you've ever wondered about the online gun buying experience,I would say don't worry about a thing.

I have wanted one of these for years. I finally decided it was time to go for it and I am even happier with this gun than I had hoped . VERY well made , beautiful fit and finish . I have yet to take it out and shoot it , but you can tell its going to be a great gun just by handling it . Buds price was almost too good to be true , far less than anyone else. I reserve ordered it and prepared for a long wait . Although they can not tell you how long it will take , the staff was very helpful and courteous. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a shipping notice after just a couple months. Great gun , great price and great customer service from Bud's

I bought this on reserve order at the end of June 2015, and received it at my FFL just in time for Xmas! I did not mind the wait and definitely feel it was well worth it! The first 100 rounds performed flawlessly and it is the most accurate .45 I have ever shot. Great fit and finish. If you don't mind the wait or get a chance to buy one while in-stock, I would definitely recommend it!

I was very suprised that this was actually in stock. Great service and timely delivery from BudsGunShop. This is my second Springfield TRP 1911-A1 pistol and my only one with the full length rail. I absolutely love this pistol, its accurate and the trigger pull is nice and crisp. After over 1000 rounds I haven't experienced any problems. My only complaint would be the adjustable rear sights but thats just my personal preference. All and all a very fine pistol!
