This one PBD9108L is not listed but PB9108L is listed I would check with my local FFL and get a accurate answer as he will be the one doing the paperwork and making sure it is MA legal

Is the gun made in the USA? I know some Springfeilds are made out of country, which I do not want.

YES, made in Geneseo, Illinois. Several years ago, Springfield cut all ties with Imbel Brazil They won't say who they source their parts from though, or who makes the forgings. Now all their 1911s are made in USA. Not with part outside the USA. Some of their parts are from venders in the USA they make some parts and all the tooling is done 100% in the USA as well.

All currently made Springfield 1911's are all made here in the US, from US sourced steel/parts. They dropped Imbel back about 2015/16

Michael, the 1911 Defender's frame and slide is manufactured in Brazil by IMBEL and imported By Springfield based in Geneseo, Illinois.

Is this pistol safe to use with +P Ammunition?

Nicholas, yes it will fire +P ammunition as it is a full Mil-Spec built handgun. It was designed for the hotter NATO Spec loading's. "Springfield only recommends shooting +p ammunition in barrels of 5'' or more."

Nicholas, No problem with +P ammunition in this firearm if straight standard SAMI 45 ACP rounds are not enough for you.

Are these sights approved for Wild Bunch shooting? Are they removable/replaceable with ones that would be? Thanks

Trying to find a simple Series 70 action

The Springfield Armory Mil-Spec, like all Springfield 1911s, features a carbon steel frame and slide that is fully forged, rather than cast, for the utmost durability. The 5-inch Match Grade stainless steel barrel is also forged for lifetimes of use. The slide has slanted serrations and the mainspring housing is the original arched style found on GI issue 1911-A1s. The Mil-Spec 1911 also features fixed 3-dot sights, a lowered and flared ejection port, and a single-sided thumb safety. Each Mil-Spec comes with fully-checkered wood grips, unique to this Defenders Series model. This classic 1911 has a Parkerized finish to combat corrosion, and comes with one 7-round magazine.
