Very pleased with this pistol, arrived with flawless finish and fit well. Tight slide to frame fit and barrel to slide fit. Thumb safety is stiff with a little downward play but still acceptable. Reliability so far is perfect, but I'm only shooting 230 grain round nose jacketed and plated bullets. Accuracy is excellent, definitely better than my Colt Mark IV Series 80 (1991) which I purchased new when I turned 21. I'm enjoying this pistol stock with no plans for any changes. I just ordered the 38 Super version in stainless from Bud's and looking forward to shooting it soon! Bud's service was great, fast and efficient to my local FFL, highly recommended!

Colt, the original maker: The O1911CS Government series 70 is a classic. I ordered this little gem here at BG. It shoots as well as it looks too. So far, I've added night sights, full length guide rod, flat guide rod spring, beavertail, extended slide stop, extended safety, hammer and trigger. Took it to the range yesterday, first shot was dead nuts center at 12 yards. This is a good gun. Consider it a blank canvas that you can build a sweet 1911 or just keep it stock. Keep it stock or dressed up, either way, it's still a Colt. Enjoy

What's not to love? Colt 1911... Product arrived brand new as stated with no issues at all. Very tight out of the box, but broke in just fine after running some rounds through it.

This was my first purchase from Bud’s and I have to say I was very impressed. The checkout was seamless and the shipping was super fast. The gun was flawless right out of the box. After a quick disassembly, inspection and cleaning it was straight to the range. Ran 100 rounds through it without as much as a hiccup. I’m now planning my next purchase from Bud’s.

Very nice semi-auto 1911, fit and finish was very good. I fired various hardball and hollow point through the weapon with two failure to feed. I use some Italian magazines and the mag that came with the gun. They both function quite well. It has a very good trigger with just a little take up. Remember they need a good three to four hundred rounds before they are fully broke in. Compared to very high dollar 1911, it is a great value. If you would like to buy this Colt under $1,000 shop buds. Order on a Monday weapon will be at your FFL Wednesday.

Beautiful firearm right out of the case. Was easy to clean and take apart. I fired 100 rds of Remington 180 grain ammunition through it flawlessly. What a work of art this is I love it.
