Savage® teamed up with PROOF Research®
once again to craft a barrel specific for a purpose driven firearm. At 6
pounds and under, the 110 Ultralite is designed to combat elevation and
elements while maintaining the performance of a factory blueprinted
Savage 110 action. The carbon fiber wrapped stainless steel barrel and
melonite skeletonized receiver minimize weight for success on any
mountain hunt. The rifle comes equipped with Savage’s AccuFit ™
technology with adjustable length of pull and comb height to provide
hunters with optimum fit and performance. The user adjustable
AccuTrigger ™ allows crisp, clean shots to close out successful hunts.

For a $1200 rifle it does not impress. I will say it will shoot lights out and the stock feels great but the action it’s terrible. Savages quality control must not be very good anymore. I’ve owned quite a few Savages and all have been pretty good rifles… Except this one… for this being their flagship rifle they really need to work on the bolt not feeling like there’s sand inside the action. I did find a PTG Bolt body and maybe that will change my out look. The 2 stars is for the Action. The Proof Barrel and the ACCUSTOCK are great.

Only accurate firearms are interesting. After sighting in this rifle it shot 2 1/2 inch groups at 300 yards, in a slight breeze no less. I have 4 custom rifles and it looks like this one will shoot as well, or better than all of them.
