I had my doubts about these guns, but I took a chance and bought this point man. It is a quality build and absolutely no disappointments. The icing on the cake was the quick responses I get from their customer service department just asking different questions.. I also Purchased a few accessories and they came immediately. I have a friend who just had several Dan Weston 1911’s refinished and their handling of his projects were extra extraordinary. Updates that every turn with pictures. This is quite a company and I will certainly purchase more of their products.

This Dan Wesson Pointman 9 is a VERY high-quality firearm. I've owned Colt 1911s, including Gold Cups in the past. There is no comparison. This gun is a great example of the gunmaker's art. Fit and finish are literally perfect. Not a hint of play between frame and slide, or between bushing and barrel. Front strap and mainspring housing checkering is precise, very comfortable, and assures no shift in grip between shots. The grip panels are gorgeous. Magazine fit and function for the two provided magazines is perfect. The trigger breaks at a very crisp, consistent 2 lb. - 9 oz on my Lyman digital gauge. Slide serrations are very functional, both front and rear. Safety is crisp and positive in operation. I followed Dan Wesson's break-in procedure, firing a box of FMJ 115 gr. Blazer factory ammo. Zero issues. The gun produced a 15 yd. ragged 1-hole group. I'm not a great pistol shot, but this gun already outshoots every other handgun in my arsenal. And it is a pleasure to shoot. The barrel is a heavy profile, match-grade one, and the overall weight of the frame, slide, and barrel makes for a very soft-shooting gun. Looking forward to running my favorite bullet/load combinations through the PM-9 at the range. I'll happily update this review when I've had a chance to put my best target loads through the gun. Yes, it's a "factory" gun, and is priced accordingly. But I'm inclined to believe other shooters who claim that PM-9 receives a bit of hand fitting during assembly. Regardless, I can recommend this 1911 with absolutely no reservation. DW has hit a home run with the PM-9.

The Dan Wesson PM-9 is an incredible pistol. Build quality and accuracy is amazing. I would highly recommend the PM-9 to anyone.

Absolutely insane value! I am the point I don't even have to shoot the gun and rake the slide and dry fire it! Wow! Compared to my other production guns! Wow! 800 bucks a grand 1400 dollars! Wow! Dan Wesson is the real deal! Absolutely insane value! The gun breaks at 3 pounds 5 ounces out of the box! Oh my God! I've been into guns for 12 years! What was my problem!
