not ejecting empty casing like it should can’t find a red dot mount for it

I am a fan of rock island products. Affordable, and well designed. I chose this one for the adjustable sights - it was spot on out of the box. It can be finicky with ammo, cci is a good bet.

Nice pistol but I wish it had two clips instead of one and it would have had a case that more care was taken with. The case makes you feel like it's a cheap weapon and it's not.

I had been wanting one for some time and finally ordered it and I am glad I did. I have had a few misfeeds and failures to extract. However, with more rounds expended the pistol is breaking in nicely.

I purchased the Rock Island Armory 1911 22 Magnum Target from Buds. I waited a short time to place a review as getting to the range and running the requested 500 break-in rounds through it took a little time. I fired CCI Maxi-Mags through it and Hornady V-Max high velocity rounds at 2200 fps. I had some failure-to-fires during this break-in, around 30 of them. I learned to just re-cock the gun and try to fire them. This worked most of the time. I started running entire 14 round mags through it rapid fire, these performed perfectly. The failures decreased and seemed to stop towards the end of the break-in, I’ll be sure with one more time at the range running about 300 rounds through it. This firearm at 20 yards is capable of less than one inch accuracy with the Hornady’s!! It was very pleasant to shoot and exceptionally accurate. The sights are excellent on the Target model. One item of note, this thing is loud!! Several shooters asked me what I was shooting and were as surprised as I was that a 22 Magnum could be so loud. Overall if the functionality is ok after break-in, I would give this gun a 10 out of 10 for worksmanshop, accuracy, sights, trigger pull. Nice gun.
