I love this gun--what's not to like? Threaded barrel, optic cuts, magwell, high capacity magazines that are VERY reasonably priced. I also love that this is a full sized pistol. I am getting tired of his sub-compact or micro trend of late. I like my full size weapons, and this fits the bill nicely. You simply couldn't make a better choice for a home defense weapon, range toy, or combat weapon. And compared to most of its peers, you simply can't beat the price. One of the only other modern "tactical" pistols with ALL of these same features, the Walther PDP SD Pro, although a superb weapon, will run you 200 dollars more.

Fired about 400 rounds with brother… And it is just so accurate and well balanced… Not a single issue… trigger is awesome for the price point

Decided to get an upgrade to my xd9 with the xdm elite 9mm osp threaded barrel. I have taken it out twice already. The 1st time I shot using the iron sights, and found it takes time getting used to the higher sights it has for use with a red/green dot. The gun came with a free red dot plate cert. from springfield. I got the plate for use with a holosun 407/507. I added the holosun 407c-gr-x2 and an olight baldr-s light and laser. Really pleased with the performance and accuracy. The insane kydex holster I have for my xd9 with the olight baldr-s works perfectly with the xdm elite including the added holosun, so I didn't have to get a new holster(bonus). Even with the meta trigger there is still a bit of creep, but practice on trigger control the follow up shots break clean with very little pressure (guessing under 3lb). The current promo from springfield also gets me 3 addtnl mags and replacement bag for pistol and 5 mag total. Springfield is a bit behind on fulfilling the mags and bag promo (8-12 weeks), so be patient on receiving that promo. I have had great performance with springfield in the past and the cash price from Buds made this deal. Happy Camper!

This is a great handgun. In my collection there are 5 sprinfield armory guns. They make a well manufactured firearm. And I would rather deal with Bud's then just about any dealer. I have ordered several different items from them and never been unhappy

Springfield Armory did a great job with this one! Nicely balanced, fit and finish is excellent. I have put around 100 rounds through it so far, Winchester white box and some soviet off brand 9mm ammo, and it performed flawlessly. The 22 rd mags make it so you can shoot more without reloading and Springfield Armory just released a 35 rd mag for it. Great purchases and thanks to Buds for superfast shipping as always.

Fantastic firearm. It is well balanced. I expected it to feel bulkier than it does. I have put a few hundred rounds through it at this point both suppressed and non-suppressed, and it shoots flawlessly. Springfield has really stepped back up to the plate with this firearm. For the price point, if you were looking for a tactical set up with threaded barrel, you can’t get much better than the Elite.
