The same picture is used for the 590A1 and the 590 Retrograde Persuader so whats the difference? Do they both have wood stocks, bayonet lugs, and metal heat shields? 3 inch chambers?

Hi Donald, the 590 A1 has a heavy-walled barrel and ghost ring sights. The 590 Retro has standard barrel and bead sights. Stay safe & have a great day!

The difference with the 590A1 is the heavy Barrel & the Ghost Ring sights.

persuader has standard weight barrel and a bead sight the 59A1 has a heavy wall barrel and ghost sights

Can ghost ring sights be added to this aftermarket?

Hi Ryan and welcome. Yes, but gunsmithing is required for the front Sight. Best to try and find Ghost Ring Sights already installed.

Ryan, model 51665 comes with ghost ring sights, but out of stock everywhere. Steve, this is not legal in Illinois because of the 8+1 magazine capacity. No shotgun can have over a 5 round capacity weather it's semi automatic, pump, has a fixed magazine tube or detachable magazine. Sorry but hope this helps. Steve, this is no longer legal in Illinois. Prohibited - "a fixed magazine with the capacity of more than 5 rounds" The only way it would be legal would be to have the magazine permanently altered to hold only 5 round and Bud's will not ship unless it is compliant as is.

Really nice looking shotgun with M7 bayonet mounted on the wall it looks very intimidating .... Took it to the range it did ok, it hung up on me a couple times, maybe it was the ammo, I will try it again. The wood furniture looks great, happy to add this to the collection.

Great retro pump shotgun. I shoot historical 3 gun, and we are required to use a pump shotgun with wood furniture. Love the trench gun look that the Mossberg 590 has. It is not quite as slick as my Winchester Model 12 or the Ithaca 37, but is also not as temperamental.

Excellent looking gun. No issues with the entire purchase process. Recoil is a bit more noticeable when compared to a SA, but that is to be expected. Action a bit stiff, but that is common with Mossberg firearms. It should loosen up with use.
