I like Taurus revolvers and I've had good luck with them until I bought this one. The timing was bad and the gun just didn't work. I got rid of it ASAP. But on the bright side, the service from Bud's was great. I would not buy this gun again.

I have run 500 rounds and it works fine. Great for conceal carry. It holds 6 rounds compared to S&W 642 which holds only 5. Decent trigger which should get smoother with more use. Added a Hogue grip because my hands need it.

If you want a reliable, good shooting J-Frame revolver, buy the Taurus 856 2" revolver. I own another J-Frame by a different company that is only a 5 shot and a couple of hundred dollars more in price, but the Taurus 856 6 shot has it beat hands down. It holds that extra round, it is slightly heavier, a plus in taming recoil, and quality, is just as good if not better than my other J-Frame. It is a magnificent handgun. Don't be afraid of the Taurus name. They have come a long way in quality. I also own a Taurus G2C 9mm semi-auto and would also trust my life with it just like the 856. I also bought the 856 Defender with 3" barrel. Love them both.

First time purchasing Taurus. I shot a hundred rounds upon receipt of the revolver. No problems —functions perfectly, and well built. Would purchase this and other Taurus products based upon quality of this item. Buds service was excellent and without any problems.

Very nice! Put some Hogue grips on it and fits hand perfect. This is the 7th gun from Bud's and they do not fail to please. Will buy more in the future. Thanks Bud's.
